In reply to: Page Only Googlebot Can See After A HackThanks for the advice. I’ll look to replace everything as suggested. Kinda had a feeling that would be the case.

In reply to: Posts Missing From Front Page and All PostsFor some reason, the posts were publishing with their original draft creation date instead of the date they were actually published. So they were showing up in the timeline, just months back instead of as the most recent.

In reply to: register_http_request_failed … SSL connection timeoutProblem solved itself for me when I switched from using the WordPress Stats plugin to the Jetpack plugin. That was a long time ago when I originally posted.

In reply to: register_http_request_failed … SSL connection timeoutMy hosting company (stablehost.com) says that they were able to connect to those two sites. They did offer to move my sites to another server to see if it changes anything. We’ll see if that works.

In reply to: register_http_request_failed … SSL connection timeoutI’ve emailed Automattic about the issue and let them know that a number of people on these support forums are experiencing the problem but haven’t heard back from them. Might be helpful if others contacted their support system to make the issue well known.
Seems a good number of people are experiencing this issue again including myself on a number of my sites. Sites on another host are fine.

In reply to: Installing Stats Plug-in brings my dashboard to a haltSeems a number of users are having the same issue including myself. I’ve contacted my hosting company as it worked just fine until recently and they can’t seem to find any reason it wouldn’t be working. It’s working fine on sites I have hosted elsewhere. I’ve tried getting a new API key and it doesn’t resolve the issue.
Seems the issue needs to be brought to Automattic as while Akismet provides the API key they have told my hosting company that they do not develop the plugin and do not support it.

In reply to: register_http_request_failed … SSL connection timeoutI’m having the same issue. It’s only present with my sites on one host. Site with another host is fine. I’ve tried to remove and reinstall the plugin, use a different API key, etc but nothing works. Leaving the plugin enabled also causes timeouts on things like publishing a post.
