found it! it was in a file called category_body.php

…and not in the theme.

that’s the thing…I already went through every php file in that theme and couldn’t find it….the author tells me it’s somewhere in wordpress

The author of the theme told me it’s somewhere in wordpress.
It is, unfortunately, not the index.php file (default theme) you just told me. I also checked all of the other files in the same folder but no luck.
