Hello @commontater,
To add users’ first names and last names, you will need to create these fields in your group and then map these group fields to the corresponding CSV fields during import. Please follow these steps:
- Log in to the WordPress dashboard?and navigate to “ProfileGrid >> Global Settings >> Tools >> Import”.
- Upload the CSV?file. Once uploaded, you will be able to select the group and view the “CSV Mapping Scheme,” which allows you to map to an existing field.
- Use this option to map the CSV fields to the group fields.
I hope this helps. If you encounter any further issues, please let us know.

In reply to: [ProfileGrid – User Profiles, Groups and Communities] Nice free versionHello @mvishal71,
Thanks for the great review! We have already replied to your support ticket regarding Premium version earlier. Do let us know if you have any other questions about it.
Hello @phoenix43,
You can make the first name and last name fields optional by creating a custom template. To do this:
- Copy and rename the “default” folder from [plugin root]/public/partials/themes?to [your current theme directory]/profilegrid-user-profiles-groups-and-communities/themes.
- Edit the HTML in the new folder as needed.
To modify the fields, open the my-account-tpl.php file and remove the pm_required class from the relevant fields.

Thank you for your feedback. We understand how important blog categories are for organizing blog posts. We’re constantly working to improve our plugin, and we are pleased to inform you that we’re considering adding this feature in an upcoming update.
Your input is invaluable in helping us prioritize features, so please stay tuned for future releases. If you have any other suggestions or questions, feel free to let us know.
Hello @tandej12,
Currently, the feature to add category for blog posts is unavailable.
You can turn off the content privacy setting for blog posts by disabling the ‘Enable Content Privacy’ option in the dashboard under “ProfileGrid >> Global Settings >> User Blogs”.
We have noted blog category requirement and forwarded it to our team for possible inclusion in future updates.
Hello @gagawp,
It seems that the issue may be related to a conflict with JavaScript or CSS on your site. Could you please confirm whether the “Combine JS” and “Combine CSS” options are disabled under “ProfileGrid >> Global Settings >> Tools >> Performance” in the dashboard?
If the issue persists, please try deactivating all other plugins on your site, except for ProfileGrid, and then check if the problem continues.
If the issue is resolved after deactivating the other plugins, you’ll need to identify which plugin is causing the conflict with ProfileGrid. You can do this by reactivating the plugins one by one and recreating the issue in ProfileGrid with each activation.
Let us know if you still face any issues.

Hello @commontater,
You can choose the English language variant, such as English UK, English Canada, or English United States, and configure the same language on your site through “Settings >> General” in the dashboard.
Creating a new file will not overwrite the original text in the plugin.
To ensure your translations are preserved during updates, save them in a separate location when creating the translation file.
Let us know if you have any other questions.
Hello @commontater,
You are not required to submit message changes to WordPress. Instead, you can add string translations to your site using the “Loco Translate” plugin.
Please follow these instructions:
- Install and Activate the Loco Translate Plugin.
- Navigate to Plugin Pages: Click on “Plugin Pages” in the left menu bar of the Loco Translate plugin.
- Select the ProfileGrid Plugin: Click the “ProfileGrid Plugin” link on the Plugins Page.
- Choose Your WordPress Language: Select the WordPress language into which you wish to translate the files.
- Add Your Translations: Enter your translations as needed.
I hope this helps! If you encounter any issues, please reach out to us directly using this form, and we’ll be happy to assist you.
Hello @commontater,
You can enable multiple newsletters lists in the ProfileGrid group registration form by selecting the lists under “Group Options >> MailPoet” for a group. Once you select the lists, they will appear on the registration form, allowing users to opt in or out of newsletters according to their preferences. After registering for the group, users can also manage their newsletter preferences by going to “Settings >> Newsletter” on their profile page after logging in.
Yes, you can select multiple lists for a group, and users can choose their preferred lists.

Hello @dongreen,
You can add a “URL” type field to the group. Users can enter their sites either during registration or by editing their profile after logging in.
Let us know if you have any other questions.
Hello @commontater,
You may translate the strings using “Loco Translate” plugin. ProfileGrid has a POT file that includes all English text from the plugin for translation.

Hello @rosbiffer,
An administrator can remove a user from a group by editing the user profile in the dashboard. Additionally, a Group Manager or Administrator can remove a user from a group on the frontend using the “Advanced Group Manager” extension.
Users can hide their profile from the frontend by enabling the “Hide My Profile From Groups, Directories, and Search Results” option in the “Settings >> Privacy” section of their profile page. Alternatively, an administrator can configure this option from the dashboard by editing the user profile.
Let us know if you have any other questions.
