In reply to: How to Configure Twenty Fourteen DemoThank’s Nick!
I knew I was missing something. I do understand it is in Alpha — I actually ended up using a different theme for the time being.
Thanks!
ZachI’m also getting these errors, most of which don’t make sense (especially the (/nginx)
File: /ebs/www/wpcodebase/wpcodebase.com/htdocs/wp-config.php File permissions are 774, however they should be 644. File owner: wpcodebase:wpcodebase
File: /nginx.conf File permissions are 0, however they should be 644. File owner: root:root
Directory: /ebs/www/wpcodebase/wpcodebase.com/htdocs/wp-content Directory permissions are 775, however they should be 755. File owner: wpcodebase:wpcodebase
Owner of current file: wpcodebase:wpcodebase
The files and directories have different ownership, they should have the same ownership.Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: Site's blog page is 404ingI figured it out. There was an empty /blog directory left in the hosting root from the old site before we installed WP.
Thanks

In reply to: Site's blog page is 404ingOkay, I’ll contact the host, and if they can’t resolve it, i’ll ask my client to remove maintenance mode.
Thank you for your help.

In reply to: Site's blog page is 404ingThis isn’t Protechig.com, this is another site, that is currently in Maintenance mode (and yes, I tried disabling all plugins to see if that was the problem).

In reply to: Site's blog page is 404ingNo it does not, i’ve already tried that (and clearing my caches just in case, no caching plugin is installed). I am a relatively resourceful WordPress developer, and I tried all of the standard fixes, and none of them were it.
Thanks

In reply to: Secure WordPress – Change table prefix after installationAbout 90-95% of the websites that I make are on the Genesis framework, from what I hear it is extremely secure (according to a testimonial from Matt himself). I am also dabbling with Thesis, which, from my understanding is the same.
I am actually thinking about dabbling with things such as, _s, toolbox, and HybridCore, what are your opinions of them?
Also, I am considering on going into the premium theme marketplace myself, do you have any recommendations for me? I want my works to be as secure as possible because I know from personal experience that the recourse can be devastating.
Thanks

In reply to: Secure WordPress – Change table prefix after installationI understand what your saying. What do you recommend for all WordPress installs for security. I have had multiple clients that have came to me being hacked and I really just want to be as secure as possible.

In reply to: Using GIT with local host root directory for theme developmentOkay, that makes sense, though I may have the wrong idea on how to use git for theme development, i’m new to this aspect of programming. For the best practice, to I create the repo it the web server’s root directory, or should I create it in another directory (ie /local-websites/mysite) and copy the site and latest version from there to the root directory?
I’m not sure what the best practice here is for these kinds of things, and wold appreciate any input.
Thanks for the advice so far!

In reply to: Where Are MySQL Databases Stored on a LAMP InstallThat makes sense, BUT, I don’t know where the MySQL Databases are to dump them from. I can’t specify a file that I don’t know where it is.
Thanks
ZachHello, thank you for your feedback. I have already tried that with no luck. Do you have any otehr ideas?

In reply to: Add Two Page Google Custom Search To ThemeI understand your point, but that is not the issue that I am experiencing, If I switch to any (non-premium) theme, such as twentyeleven, it still does not work. This is not a Genesis issue, if it was i’d be asking for support in their forums. I’d appreciate any more help you could give me on this.
