That’s the interesting thing Chad. I don’t have a shortcode in the home page at all but it’s always showed the login status on the home page. If there was a code I’d remove it, but it’s not there.

I’ve even done a search through the text version (not visual) of the home page and it’s definitely not there.

Thanks, I have set up a page to be the member’s login page and do have several public pages on the site but it insists on the home page for some reason. I’ve rechecked what you suggested but even though the member’s login page is the chosen page for logging in it still has it showing across the home page. Cleared the cache, tried another browser, still showing.

Yes, I mean the admin bar. I am logged into the site – some sites I can see the admin bar when logged in and viewing pages but on the sites I mentioned above, I can’t – I used to be able to and can’t fathom out what’s changed and why. The box you mentioned is ticked for viewing the toolbar so what else should I be doing please?

Thanks dimitris33 but it looks like that means having multiple tables also and we’re restricted on the number of tables to use. Thanks anyway.

Ok, thank you. I did look around for a discussion for that plugin but couldn’t find it and couldn’t find anything in their FAQs either. I’ll give it a try and report back.

Thanks for that. Actually found another fix. I already had the domain parked at the site so was able to change both addresses in the settings in the dashboard and it’s now working fine. A colleague who is a programmer set it up for me.

The domain was already pointed to the server – sorry I didn’t mention that.

Yes, I’m adding the logo in the customiser section. And then saving it, even though it doesn’t show in the preview section.

I’ve disabled the plugins but kept jetpack working and tried again. At least the mouse doesn’t go round and round and it says it’s saved but it’s still not showing.

When I disabled jetpack and tried again it had this message:

by modules, what do you mean exactly? The plugins or something else?

Looks like a problem with the htaccess file, coupled with the wp-login.php being disabled. We have access again now. Thank you.
