John, we have already published a number of Mobiloud apps for other Uppsite users and have therefore some experience with this, on both iOS and Android.

Launch screen and icon from an existing app can be reused for a Mobiloud app, so our team can take care of putting everything together very quickly. The old Uppsite apps are updated so that existing users will be able to get the new app either automatically or with a simple update.

You’ll need some information from Uppsite to be able to update your existing app and we can assist you in getting these. Just write to [email protected] and our developers will get in touch.

You can now also link to any portion of your site or an external website from your app’s menu, allowing you to extend the functionality of your app to almost anything imaginable, including parts of your Buddypress site (e.g. profiles, status updates, etc).

You can also create a custom homepage for your app, which can be either a page or a URL, again making this very flexible.

P.S. There’s no need for a full site restore or anything like that, the plugin doesn’t do anything to your site but reading from your post contents so that your mobile app can show it to your users.

It doesn’t yet let you build a Facebook-like social network app, if that is what you ask. You’ll be able to create an app with public posts, pages, etc. though.

We’ll be looking into building such a platform in the future, if there’s enough demand to support it.

Hi lau83s, sorry you’ve wasted your time, but we never mention it’s a free plugin. We state everywhere, description, FAQ, site that it’s a commercial service. We’ll make it even more obvious.

Thanks for your input. We’ll be adding the pricing to the description (it’s already in the FAQ and everywhere on our site). We have no interest in getting people to waste time, so we’ll make it as obvious as we can.
