In reply to: [OSM - OpenStreetMap] Post Edit in Classic EditorI probably wont have a chance as the machine is being overwritten today! I’ve been through the Safari settings (in the preferences dialog) and can’t see anything. The machine is to be overwritten with a machine on which it works which will clone the settings so it should recover (and will be an indication of the problem if it doesn’t).

In reply to: [OSM - OpenStreetMap] Attribution/Copyright Text Size IssueI appreciate the “fix and updates overwrite”, which is why I tend to skip quite a few releases. I’m running a customised version we’ve previously discussed – “good functionality” but the way I implemented would break existing users so I have to make my tweaks again every release I install. So I fixed it by putting the missing attributes into the ol.css file.
It’s a bit of a shame there isn’t a “child plug-in” scheme like there is a “child theme” scheme – but there isn’t.
You are telling me how to run my site. Most software providers develop broad functionality to provide for the needs of a range of users rather than tell people how to operate their site. It’s why there are options and settings.
Not impressed that WF does not listen to users but instead tells them how them must run their site.
Then maybe take the requests (from several here) as a feature request? Unfortunately the option you provide it not useful. Most blocked “visitors” are nuisance bots who wont read anything – just try again 2 seconds (or less) later, then again 2 seconds of less later, etc.
Hence a minimal 403/503 or whatever is really what is needed.
My “visitors” who are blocked are invariably nuisance bots and hackers so I just want to send them a 403 or 503. Hence all I’m after is an option to send a custom page/code. All WF has to do is have an option “Return: Wordfence info page/URL to custom page” and an error code to return (e.g. 403/503/whatever).
+1
Customising the blocked message is something really important to me (even if it involves customising php scripts).Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Centre Table Not WorkingAdditional info:
It seems to relate to shortcode parameters. Shortcode used is
[table id=3 responsive=scroll datatables_row_details=true datatables_row_details_columns="F-G" /]
but remove the “responsive=scroll” and the table becomes full width so you can’t tell if it’s centred or not. So might be expected behaviour or not or I’m confused …Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [OSM - OpenStreetMap] Feature Suggestion – OSM WidgetI tried that the other day (as well as the similar from the OSM sub-domain) and they both just stayed “sending” for an hour (literally) before I gave-up. (Safari on macOS, latest release versions).
As I say, I’m happy to show my code but I’m not a php developer (I’m C/C++/Objective-C) and it’s only a couple of “if” statements to adjust/override things and my code is probably pretty poor.
I appreciate this public forum is no way to exchange e-mail addresses (not with all the SPAMers out there) but if you are happy to, you could try and send my a contact e-mail through <https://psamathe.net/contact>

In reply to: [OSM - OpenStreetMap] OSM Map LanguageMany thanks for your response.
I wont be updating until after intended travels (if plans go aheads as planned) as I run a customised version of the plug-in. I’ll post details to a new threads as a “Feature Suggestion”.Many thanks to clarify (I’m a bit slow)
You need to add following:
/badplace*
If you use /badplace/* then it’ll not cover /badplace as an extra ‘/’ exists in banned URL.
So /badplace* will also cover /badplace (i.e. * can include nothing as well as anything).
(Sorry for my lack of understanding)

(And both the phpinfo.php and test.php removed from web server but they can be put back if needed to collect info for the ticket – just ask).
Many thanks.

In reply to: [LiteSpeed Cache] Minify Options Not Doing Anything1. Done (https://psamathe.net/phpinfo.php – do check it yourself). There is a reference to opcache but I have no idea what opcache is etc.)
2. Done and it has created the css subdirectory and created a test.css in that sub-directory
3. It is under cPanel and the error log (/public_html/error_log has nothing since back in May related to a child theme when I was creating the child theme).

In reply to: [LiteSpeed Cache] Minify Options Not Doing Anything1. No other cache plug-ins loaded. Hosting is on Lightspeed (shared server hosting)
2. “wp-content/cache/” exists but it’s empty and no subdirectories in it
3. Where would I find the logs? The only logs I can see are the access logs (request for <xxx> from IP <xxx> date/time, etc.)
