Shocking, but the reversion to 4.3 from 4.3.1 via FTP upload to the plugin folder for the event calendar fixed the site and the WP editor. Thanks everyone for the guidance and links!

Question: How are we even able to revert to an old version if we can’t even access our WP admin portal? This is pretty bad. How could it have been put out there without this being tested first?
Do we have to do like lizkaraffa did and FTP in and disable the Event calendar plugin by renaming the folder?
