    Sorry, but I “like” how you did not read my comment.

    Me: “Yes, those guys have to earn money and therefore have to advertise for paid service.”

    Me: “I have never seen a single plugin that is so much spamming around with notifications, warnings, poor attempts to convince you of purchasing pro versions in kind of an very aggressive way.”

    You: “We understand that you don’t like to see ads in the free plugin. ”

    You are the only plugin that puts a red circle on top of my dashboard, just to make me aware of a notification to buy premium.

    Answer: In the boilerplate it is not enough to change the version var, you need to change the version in the comments in header of your startup file as well.
