Figured it out. Can’t have ANY text in the “Excerpt” section if you want to use the show link/excerpt length. Took me a while but got it!

Hi Hal, awesome plugin.

I am having an issue with the shortcode for the excerpt length + link. The “more” link will not show if I decide to use the excerpt, I tried many ways.

Before I code up custom templates, was wondering if you could perhaps provide any help or guidance, it would be more than appreciated!
