It looks like it might be the theme that I am using. I switched to the standard 2014 theme and the “Other Options” were available.

I just made the option changes (inc. adding prettyPhoto) and then switched the theme back.

Everything seems to be okay now… apart from not being able to see “Other Options” unless I switch back to 2014.

Would that solution involve going to Gallery / Other Options / Lightbox Effects / Show Advanced Settings for one of the standard NextGEN Lightbox Effects (i.e. Shutter 2) and changing the details to:

Yep, the NextGEN plugin seems to only come with Shutter and one other lightbox option… even though the drop down lists others.

It’s a bit confusing but you got there in the end.

I’ve now resolve this but it was actually something to do with the theme that I was using (JPhotolio).

If you want to test to see if there is a conflict with your theme, the way I did it was to activate the original WordPress “Twenty Eleven” theme that comes pre-installed.

I then tested the gallery page and found that the lightbox option was working. This made it obvious that the problem was with the theme.

I then contacted the theme developer and then after a few attempts, we managed to edit the .php code and now the lightbox is working.

I’m currently having some problems with the NextGEN lightbox. When I click a thumbnail it just opens the image on a new page.

Would it be possible to give me some more instructions on how you resolve this problem?

You say about putting the CSS and shutter-reloaded.js in the “header”. What do you mean by “header” and what exactly should I put in there?

I’ve found the shutter-reloaded.js within the NextGEN plugin files, but I wasn’t sure what CSS file you were talking about.

Any help would be appreciated.

I’ve resolved the full width problem for the secure gallery and the shopping cart! ??

The only problem I’m having now is the missing navigation buttons when you click on an image to view it bigger.

Just a quick update…

I’m using FireFox on a Mac but my friend tested the website on Internet Explorer on a PC and the image navigation buttons were there for the full screen images.

I then tested it in Chrome and had a similar problem to FireFox but the image opened on a new screen with a white background, rather than black on FireFox.

Maybe this problem is browser compatibility?
