Thanks for the great idea. That’s definitely possible for the future of PublishPress. A lot of the suggestions we get revolve around the calendar – in particular, making the display of content on the calendar more flexible.
A quick update on this …
We’ve found the problem and are working on fix. Thanks for reporting this. We plan to release the fix next week.

With the demo sites, they don’t send email. We disabled that because a few people were using the sites to send spam.
