Hi Joe, thank you for the video. I am not saying the options are not there, I am saying everything is million times more complicated than (by my opinion) it should be.

I am using the plugin for something like five years on many webs. I have a small agency working exclusively for international pharma companies so we do a lot of webs. From the professional point of view, I can’t imagine having more then one ticker, sometimes maybe two tickers on a page. Usually, I have one per website.

This should be simple thing, two minutes in options, put it on a page and go. You have built big and so complicated world of settings for this little simple thing. I really appreciate your kindness and I know, I am evil here. But from my point of view, with the new environment, I am really quickly loosing will to work with it. The ticker is small thing. It should need a quick little work to setup the basics and go. I need another ticker for another page, I click on add or dupplicate, set the content and go. If I want to change the background color, with your plugin, I know that I will have to go clicking on every from hundreds of menu in random forest of options.

I am using the plugin because there is no other alternative except to use my own code.

I would like to add a star for your exceptional approach to this review, but I did not find the way.

… about the other use than for a ticker. I would stick to this scenario – set of defaults plus the same definable within a specific ticker, list or whatever you need to create.

This is kind of you, thank you but no to your offer to help.

Concerning the UX, I would be glad if we have a set of default options – font (inherit / specific), background color, color, font size, font weight, padding, speed and perhaps direction (I always use left). Then for each ticker the same set of parameters and shortcode with prefilled defaults, css class for the whole ticker (I usually tweek everything in my set of css rules). The message should be able to take html code. No !important in your css if possible.

The ticker would fill the width of container horizontally with the message, the message would move without spaces (these are part of the message), export / import.

I need to place more then one ticker on screen sometimes.

This would be awesome, hope I did not forget anything :).

It was the hosting problem.
Thanks for the great plugin, btw :).

So I found out that the source of these problems was a mess in .htaccess, left there by some caching plugins I tested.

… they are not in our .htaccess file because the whole site would not work. And noone can add them to your file structure because it is not on the disk, so noone knows your folder names..

I have tested changes in size of radio buttons, background colors, deactivating / activating Forminator and nothing made it to create the new .htaccess. But I am fine with your snippet.

Well, I did not managed to resolve the previsously reported errors. I just tested the plugin on our hosting server that we want to leave and the errors were not showing. They are still showing on the site and hosting where I tested / need the plugin. These are two different hosting environments with different providers.

One last question – are you using .htaccess in your folders that would use any of the following rules?

SetHandler none
SetHandler default-handler
Options -ExecCGI

If yes, this can be the cause of the error.

I have tested the same on a different hosting, all plugins off, checked the .htaccess where there were only the default WordPress rules and SG Optimizer rules. I did not get the errors but still could not turn off the Dynamic caching – the same behviour – I click on the button to turn it off, the message saying only SG hosting can do it pops up – then I close the message and the option is still on.

the route is the virtual one, not on the disk. I reinstalled the plugin but problems are not gone. The Dynamic caching is on as default and when I try to disable it, I get your message, saying “Dynamic Caching is not supported in your current hosting environment.”. This does not make sense. And the option stays on. So I dont have a way how to disable it.

I don’t have your hosting any more. I will probably let go the plugin as it is a shame – looks like I would stay with it for all our sites. Unfortunately seems to be quite unreliable outside SG.

…also, nothing changes when I disable the ShortPixel or all the other plugins. The error stays.

Hi Dimitar,

thanks for the quick reply. The Shortpixel plugin should not be in conflict with your plugin. Your plugin detected the Shortpixel one after its installation and displayed a note that it disabled its image optimization functionality in order not to be in conflict and that I can choose later to use Shortpixel or your plugin for the image processing.

The err 500 is probably yours as your plugin access non-existing resource in your folder.

These do not generate your notification window. Those are admin errors so I can probably live with them but thought you might want to knou.
