Ok, they advised me that the server is running blatt.exe and that function is enabled. The server is IIS6 – do I need to be running apache to make this all work?

I will look into this right away. Would this be something I can set from my panel?

vkaryl, my bad… I was stuck in troubleshooting hell. I had everything setup fine (within 5 mins :-)and was working with the folks at CrystalTech that evening. Everytime I mentioned this they stated it was setup correctly. I called the following morning and spoke to another tech and persisted – they actually stated I needed to go back to WP for additional support… I stayed on the phone with them insisting all was correct on my end… and finally the tech stated index.php wasn’t included in the default pages.

your post: Um. Is your crystaltech install on a windows server too? For the directory listing problem, you may need to ask them to make sure “index.php” can be a legit index file in your site folders.

This was the issue.. I needed to go into the control panel at CrystalTech and goto the IIS – Default Pages and add index.php. That seemed to solve all my problems – for now. Thanks again for everyones help!

Yes, I get this page also however, once I login it states “You are not aucthorized to view this page”.

I have no idea what is happening. I goto https://www.purpaula.com/blog/index.php and the site comes up. I try to navigate to blog/wp-login.php and cannot access the page.

I only see index.php. Should I have crystaltech turn off allow directory browsing?

So… I got a hold of support at CrystalTech and he allowed directory browsing – seems to have allowed me to login. Now when I click on some of the WP links I see directories????

I got to the page that stated I was finished and provided my username and password and now I get “You are not authorized to view this page”

ok, I’m blowing off interland and going back to crystaltech. I’ve setup and installed everything and now after I’ve setup WP, I get this error: Directory Listing Denied. This virtual directory does not allow contents to be listed. ????

Do you know if I need to set file permissions on the web directory “Blog” EVERYONE: to “Write”?

It’s the clients choice, we’ve already asked them to move a few times. I never liked Interland …
