  • hey blackpixel,

any idea on how to center the multibox in the middle of the page?

my multibox always opens up to the right of center for some reason. How can I get it to open in the center of the page all the time?

is there a way i can change the code so whenever I use class=wmp on weblinks, it defaults to a certain size automatically?

right now, I have to put this in:
    class=”wmp” rel=”width:800,height:450″

i’d like to just be able to put class=”wmp” on all web links and have them open at that width and height without me having to specify it.

kind of like how you have the pdf setup in the settings tab in wordpress (where can we automatically have it open pdfs at a certain width and height).

also…is there a way for me to set a default width and height for all web links opened in a Multibox? so I don’t have to manually set that for each web link?

“scroll down and activate the pdf plugin. in the big textbox at top of the page, put all file extensions where you will open in the multibox. you can put html, htm there, and all links gone with multibox.”

what is the link i would put in there to have web links automatically open up? I added pdf, html, htm, and xhtml on that text box. PDFs now open automatically, but web links still don’t.

sites like espn.com and stuff won’t open automatically still…I have to manually add in the class=”wmp” attribute.

    any suggestions?

    so….

    the verdict is in.

version 1.2.3 works perfectly (in FF3 and IE6) as far as I can tell.

i have tested web links, flash video files, images, and pdf files – and they all work fine.

is there a way I can make all media files default to being popped up in a Multibox? right now, images and videos automatically popup in a multibox window, but web links and pdfs don’t (I have to add the class=”wmp” manually to the html link).

What part of the code do I have change to accomplish this? i was looking through some of the javascript, but couldn’t find exactly where that would be accomplished.

    https://www.letitmarinate.com/

that’s the link to my webpage. I have re-activated version 1.2.2 and that is the one currently running (which doesn’t work on my FF3).

thanks for all the help so far blackpixel – i greatly appreciate it.

right now, I am using 1.0.8 which seems to work great with Firefox 3.0 and IE.

i see that the new Multibox basically lets you use it on every type of file that you would need.

this is exactly what i need. i have used 1.0.8 on web links, images, and videos, and it seems to work great. The only negative thing about it is that for web links, you have to manually add in [class=”wmp” rel=”width:800,height:450″] (without the brackets) to get the weblink to display in a multibox. it would be great if that could be done automatically.

i would love to be able to use the latest version (1.2.2), but i can’t seem to get it to work on FF and IE – and that is a deal breaker for me right now.

So, for now, 1.0.8 will have to do.

i may be doing something wrong…but…versions 1.2.1 and 1.2.2 don’t work on Firefox 3.0. I must be doing something wrong.

When I click on an image link, instead of opening it up in the MultiBox, it will open it up on another tab at its location. It’s like it never even calls on the Multibox. Same for videos and other stuff.

But, in IE6, it works like a charm.

I have to be glossing over something. I must be doing something wrong.

It doesn’t seem to work at all on Firefox 3.0.

the new version 1.2.2 doesn’t work on FF3. Neither did 1.2.1.

Am I the only one experiencing this?

It works on IE, but not on FF3.

1.2.2 looks promising though because it has support for PDFs. Now…if it developed an extra option for displaying web links also, this would be hands down the best lightbox-type plugin for WordPress.

Anyone know why I might be experiencing problems on FF3?

    hey blackpixel,

version 1.2.1 was working on FF and IE before…but now, it is only working on IE.

it will just open up images and videos in new links, almost as if the multibox plugin is not even getting called. but it works on IE. version 1.08 works, so I have installed that for now.

1.0.8 is good, but the functionality of 1.2.1 is better (and it’s smoother, quicker, and has descriptions), but for the time being, I am using 1.0.8 while I try to figure out the problem.

    any ideas?

it seems as though slimbox or lightbox will not work with the NEXTGen Galley when multibox is activated.

Anyway around this? I know they use the same libraries, but is there a way around this?

I would like to have the functionality of Slimbox on my NextGEN gallery, but the versatility of Multibox on everything else.

    hey blackpixel,

it is worked great on IE and FF. Version 1.2.1 seems to have done the trick.

can you view weblinks and pdfs with multibox? I don’t think so, but that woudl be a great feature to add on.

Also, I can’t get it to work with my NextGEN Gallery. What rel attribute does Multibox reference?

If I wanted to manually reference an image to use the Multibox plugin, what rel attribute (i.e. rel=”lightbox”) would I need to put in to get it to work?

has anyone had any success using multibox 1.2 on firefox?

it works on IE, but not on Firefox 3.0.

usually it’s the other way around…

any suggestions? something in the code?

    hey blackpixel, thanks.

I’m only using all of those because I can’t get one of those to do everything.

Like, MultiBox works great…but it doesn’t work on web links.

so I used shadowbox. and multibox doesn’t seem to work on the NextGen Galley, so I used thickbox.

I’ve heard that LightWindow works for everything, but the wordpress plugin that is available is only for images.

I just want an application that will work for everything (and looks good). Any suggestions?

Shadowbox is ok, but doesn’t look all that great (plus you have to manually resize flash videos).

    plus…the multibox popup doesn’t center.

    it’s off center.

how can I get it to pop up in the middle of the screen?
