No reply and no fix – a caring company to cherish.

@guygella – I am evaluating Mailerlite. It seems to be a company that could be trusted. Not sure about the features yet.

I suspect Mailpoet is intentionally slow down for non-paying customers or anyone not using its own mailserver (forcing you to pay). If it IS so, then this company could not be trusted and it is time to look for alternatives.

@gregorymcg Don’t use Automatic Latest Content – it is not reliable at all. Try compile the posts manually – once you set up a template, it takes very little time of pulling a newsletter together; you can schedule (not 100% reliable) or send it manually. If not to troubling your subscribers is very important, this is the best way of doing it. You have total control.

@sy007 – you may have a different issue and you may have to undo those changes you made.

Rolling back to 4.12.0 (non-premium) solved the issue I had with sending (which only popped up after upgrading to 12.1 this morning). Wish MailPoet would had done much better testing, especially dealing with sending.

You may have to roll-back to 4.12.0 fix the problem before the sending problem is fixed with a new version.

It was not working (with WP cron) yesterday as it had issues with sending.

It worked today (with web visitor as trigger).

UPDATE – took close to 40 minutes to send out 400 odd email.

Following the two occurrences of sending out previous posts, we stopped using automatic post notification and have opted to compile our daily posts manually and sent them out either manually or on schedule.

We did have a problem with yesterday’s newsletter with the scheduling. We always use “visitors to the website” for Newsletter task scheduler (cron) and have not had any problem. It did not work. The schedule was shown in orange but disappeared after the scheduled time. We had to send the newsletter manually. We have changed the setting to recommended “WordPress built-in cron” and hope it will work for our future scheduled newsletters.

Thank you Bruna a11n. I have updated the plugin. But as the issue keeps happening (not good and unprofessional to our subscribers), I have opted to compile the posts and send out the newsletter manually. Thanks again for your help.

There is absolutely no need for updating daily unless you are releasing beta versions. I do like the plugin but seriously think of trying other plugin. Update review to 3 which should be 5.

Thank you Animesh. Our hosting company finally solved the problem. The hosting company’s control panel server crashed and for some reason it affected ssl connections to both wordpress.com and www.ads-software.com. This made backend admin and news posting almost impossible. It did not in any way have impact on web performance as there was no ssl request to be made to either wp.com or wp.org. Thanks for your help.

The problem I am having is that all my ssl-enabled sites (10 sites) are experiencing the same issue. My hosting has yet to get back to me. The plugin recommended does not help with issue. Hope to find out why out of blue this is happening.

No longer works. It used to be a nice little working plugin; now Admiral wants to sell you a canon to kill a chicken.

Adunblocker seems to be very promising and working. It has a free version and a very inexpensive paid version.

The main purpose of this plugin to simply duplicate a post. Why so many unnecessary updates? Selling you a Cannon to kill Chickens. Don’t use any of his plugins.
