There are 2 or three conversations going on in this thread. When sadara says “… and $post_excerpt!” <strike>does she mean in</strike> actually I have a better idea. Could someone please repost the fix from start to finish? That would really help, something like:

i looked at that site for about 5 minutes trying to figure out if he has such a plugin running – he does not. But I’m sure his site would benefit greatly from the script that I requested.

For example, if you search for “reign” in his database, several posts come up before the 2 with reign in the h2 (post name). You have to go about 6 deep to find the correct term even when it is an exact match.

Eggcorns could definitely use the script. That makes at least 2 of us. I’m sure that many people would like the search to first give order preference to the results in the Post and category name.
