It looks like Google AdSense team meant amount of posts (not words per article) or there may be some policy issues. If you type on google.com: site:myfriendlypharmacist.com – it will show only 18 pages in Google’s index.
But, we recommend to contact AdSense support directly and ask them for the details.

If you see the ad codes on Quickadsense settings menu, just press Save Changes button. But, please, check if all tick marks and settings are set correctly.

To reduce an impact of possible bugs, we recommend to try new versions in a virtual/test environment (because configuration of your website may be different). For example, WP Staging plugin creates a virtual environment – you can check new updates via this plugin, or similar one.
Unfortunately, even multi billion companies have bugs in their products. Despite the plugin is free, we are keeping it as stable as possible.
If you’ve already configured v2.3.1 and it shows ads – then it doesn’t make a big sense to update to v2.3.2 because it contains only bug fixes.
