Actually search and replace does not add the images back to the gallery as attachments, but I found a workaround by using the ‘add from server’ plugin which allows me to browse the images already on the server and import them to each post accordingly as gallery attachments.

YOu said “up until now” as if it can be done now. I am using the_category and was wondering if I can make those editable so I can remove a category on the fly.

in theory it should work, I think you have an issue with the include, you can run a test and replace output with a string and see if it shows up.

I used “return” instead of echo and now my content no longer shows up…

fixed it by removing the trailing slash in front of /wp-content/uploads in the misc section. Thanks.

Under misc settings it stills said blog.sitename.com so i removed the blog part and now i am getting an error while attempting to uplaod:

Unable to create directory /wp-content/uploads/2009/01. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

I chmod 777 wp-content, uploads, 2009 and 01, i even renamed 2009 to something else i hopes that it would recreate the dir but it isn’t.

Would this affect new images being uploaded as well?

I got it to work, i stood on one foot then rubbed my belly counter clockwise. I mean come on for real, think having one tab open is going to solve this? Or restarting your computer 25x?? This is a url rewrite or persmissions problem, bottom line.

i love open source software don’t you? Even though they have over 1 million in the bank they can’t fix stupid shit like this? Anyone have a damn solution for this? I get a 404 in the stupid popup window when trying to insert an image.

its amazing if ANYTHING EVER gets solved on this forum. Its one of the worst supported forums I have ever seen in my entire life. Questions get unanswered for EONS. Its ridiculous with how popular wordpress is that the support SUCKS so much.

So with that said, I assume still no FIX for content_rss displaying a more link…
