In reply to: Random post within a random categoryThe problem with this code is three categories are defined; this doesn’t narrow the query to one random category.

eg.
[slider title="Extra info"]Extra info here[/slider]
The “Extra info here” block doesn’t get rendered. However the parameters of the shortcode are.
Thanks for taking a look into this issue.

In reply to: [Plugin: Unfiltered MU] Doesn’t WorkI think modifiedcontent is referring to the import process when you have embed and script tags for posts in the WordPress XML import file:
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/251411I can confirm that even when you have the Unfiltered MU plugin active and you’re a site admin or administrator of the blog in question, the WordPress importer still strips all embed and script tags when importing the posts into your MU blog.
donncha, if you can extend support for Unfiltered MU so it will work with the importer that would be extremely useful.
Thanks for reading.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: term_id and taxonomy woesI’m more convinced this is a MU problem caused when we imported a regular WordPress blog over to WPMU via PHPMyAdmin.

In reply to: term_id and taxonomy woesThanks for replying, Michael.
I’m a little hesitant to follow the process you outlined.
Let me throw another problem at you; the problem occurs in the root blog of a MU install.
So I’m not sure how I would drop the database tables for that one blog without reinstalling all the blogs!
I should probably make a corresponding post on the MU forums for that; I’ll see what the guys over there say.
If anyone has any other ideas, please let me know.

In reply to: [Plugin: Contact Form 8] Mr. developer, don’t fake my name, please?Hey Alan,
I would suggest changing the name of your forked plugin to something else to avoid confusion with takayukister’s CF7.
Maybe call it “Contact Form Redux” or something else…
A potential conflict could arise if takayukister decides to bump the version number on Contact Form…

In reply to: Tabbed Widgets picky with 2.8?Looking good, xberserker!
I’d be interested in the beta.
Which is easier to use in your opinion, Tabbed Widgets or SidebarTabs beta?
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: Tabbed Widgets picky with 2.8?By the way, according to a comment made on August, on his website, kaspars says he is pretty much done updating Tabbed Widgets for WP 2.8+, he just hasn’t updated the javascript code.
If you can wait for kaspars to finish the plugin, then wait.
If you can’t, I recommend Section Widget. There’s positives to using Section Widget such as conditional placement on your WP site (similar to Widget Logic, but more user-friendly) and the many, bundled tabbed themes.

In reply to: Tabbed Widgets picky with 2.8?Okay the Section Widget plugin looks like the way to go. Pity it can’t use existing widgets like kaspars’ plugin does. sidebarTabs can use existing widgets, but can only handle one tabbed widget, which is a shame.
One plus about Section Widget is how you can order the tabs via drag ‘n drop!
Another method to input PHP in Section Widget is with the author’s own PHP Shortcode plugin:

In reply to: Tabbed Widgets picky with 2.8?Thanks for the link, btlewand.
Here’s another alternative:
