In reply to: [WordPress Access Control] Redirect goes to admin section instead of pageHm. It works if I set the WordPress publishing setting to Public… is that really what I’m supposed to do when using this plugin?

In reply to: [WordPress Access Control] Redirect goes to admin section instead of pageHm, I got that to work, but it appears something else is wrong. I’m getting a page not found error at the member page, even though it is created as a (private) page on the back end. I thought it might be a theme issue, but it gets the same result when I switch themes, including to 2014.
On my template, it’s apparently going to the wrong template too—I’ve set it to a page template, but it’s displaying archive links, which I don’t have displayed on any of my page templates. It’s picking up my index.php, I think. So I guess the problem is bigger than the plugins. :\

In reply to: [WordPress Access Control] Redirect goes to admin section instead of pageThanks, Paul. I actually installed that this aft, but the settings are pretty complicated and it’s not wholly transparent what they do. Will continue to try to figure it out.

In reply to: [Posts per Cat [Unmaintained]] Can this plugin display subcategory name?BTW, I tried just selecting the subcategory and deselecting the main category when editing the post, but that breaks things. (It doesn’t even show the article under the original main category listing if I do that, and wants to make the sub a main category of its own.)

In reply to: New site – blank pages, no templates availableWell, all I have available in the themes folder are custom themes. It’s not clear to me why I can’t access those themes with this site, or make them available to it from the Multisite admin.
I’m guessing WP will only generate a blank page (no HTML in source whatsoever) if no theme is available, correct?

In reply to: New site – blank pages, no templates availableThanks, I’ve tried that. I get the message:
“You do not appear to have any themes available at this time.”

In reply to: After upgrade 2.5.1, hard to post. *URGENT*Gah. Thanks. I realized that with all the emphasis on the wp-admin and wp-includes folders, I failed to upload the root directory files. The wording in the upgrade doc isn’t as clear as it could be, but still: Duh.

In reply to: After upgrade 2.5.1, hard to post. *URGENT*Line 95 in formatting. php, BTW, is:
$pee = preg_replace('/<p>\s*?(' . get_shortcode_regex() . ')\s*<\/p>/s', '$1', $pee); // don't auto-p wrap shortcodes that stand alone

In reply to: After upgrade 2.5.1, hard to post. *URGENT*Thanks, Otto42.
Grr, that’s what I was afraid of.
That file breaks my page and I get the following error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_shortcode_regex() in /home/rabsaul/public_html/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 95
??

In reply to: After upgrade 2.5.1, hard to post. *URGENT*I did that. I deleted the old files first. I have uploaded all the files at least twice.
