okay, I’ve edited the wp-config file as suggested and replaced it on the server.
I verified that the modifications are there.
I attempted to open the dashboard 5 or 6 times.
There is no log file in the wp-content directory.
hi, thanks for answering so quickly. Unfortunately I am not near a computer – I have only my phone with no ftp access.
I will try to do this via cPanel.

In reply to: WP 6.3 Tagline doesn’t updatehi, the problem is solved.
it wasn’t the tagline as you suggested – thanks.
It was the home page settings in the template – where it normally says “Mindblown: a blog about philosophy”
Perhaps the template should be updated so that home uses the tagline?
thanks to all.

In reply to: WP 6.3 Tagline doesn’t updateIt is the tagline – and I think it is a problem with the Twenty Twenty Three theme.
I I install a different theme the tagline shows correctly. When I switch back to the 2023 theme the wrong (old, incorrect) one shows again
I tried disabling both of my plugins. No good

In reply to: WP 6.3 Tagline doesn’t updateThe tagline should read “Coarse fishing the Radbuza river” – Coarse with an ‘a’
I tried installing a different browser – duckduckgo – so nothing was cached and I still have the old tagline showing.
