Hey @ultimatemembersupport – I updated my live site with the new version 1.3.84, but the red error flags that worked in my local environment aren’t taking effect in my live environment. I’ve compared my UM settings between the two installs but I can’t figure out what’s happening. I also did a cache flush on the live site, but no change. Any thoughts what else I could check on?
Thanks!
I tested it on a local dev site (I didn’t want to mess with the live site), and it seems to fully address my issue!
Now when I try to submit the form without completing required fields, I get nice red flags notifying me exactly what fields I need to give attention to. It is exactly what we needed, and I am looking forward to the formal release of the version!Thank you!
sorry – meant to CC you:
Thanks for your response — how can I check this? is that in cPanel or in my WP dashboard?

In reply to: subdomain wp-admin wp-login loopthank you! this worked. I made the error when I created the subdomain in cpanel and in the field for the document root path, I included the subsite I was creating. D’oh!

In reply to: subdomain wp-admin wp-login loopI’m looking at my files right now on the FTP server… this is what I see.

the true root directory in this tree is for another site’s installation. I don’t want to edit those files.
the root directory for my project is example.com

In reply to: subdomain wp-admin wp-login loopAH! You’re right. I did not need clone install.
However, before I did the clone, the website was showing the cgi/bin file page. That’s what prompted me to clone and I forgot that multisite meant I only needed the one install.
I uninstalled the clone, and when I try accessing the subsite dashboard, I get 404 error.

In reply to: Multisite ‘new site’ not workingI’m not sure if this is needed with subfolders, but with my MS install with subdomains, I had to manually point the subdomains to the A record. (I was having similar trouble where I could add a subsite just fine in the network admin, but I could not access the dashboard for the subsite as the URL apparently “did not exist”)
Might be an avenue to check out with your domain host! note: I pointed it to A record because that’s what I have my main domain pointing to (not the name server)

In reply to: Multisite on subdomainHey thank you for this response! I appreciate your explanation. Out of all the responses I’ve received as a whole on this issue, this one is the most straightforward, honest, and the only one with “on the same team” vibes. Thank you.
However, to make my life easier, I’m going to buy a domain to do my staging on. I think multisite install on a subdomain is just too much for WP (or my host, or a combo, plus myself) to handle right now. And it’ll be easier when it comes time to launch the site on the real domain.
Yes, it does. Thank you!
