In reply to: [Post Types Order] Media drag & drop not working with all media filesHi Maya,
When will you be finished with the code debug? Is there anything I can do to speed it up?
Thanks,

In reply to: [Post Types Order] Media drag & drop not working with all media filesHi Maya,
Thank you. I followed your advice and deactivated all plugins except Post Types Order. No change, same issue.
In wp-config.php I deactivated everything except the basic WordPress lines. No change, same issue.
Also I activated debug mode in wp-config.php to see if there are error messages. No error messages.
What else can I do?

In reply to: [Post Types Order] Media drag & drop not working with all media filesThank you Maya,
Here is the video. What I’m trying to do: I want to move image 1642 to the top between images 1633 and 1645, so I drag 1642 to the top and drop it there. Then I want to see if the new position was saved. I reload the page by clicking on “Library”. Then I scroll down to check whether image 1642 is in its new position. You can see that 1642 has NOT been moved, but is still in its previous position.
There are some images that can be moved and some cannot be moved.
I hope you can help me with this.
Rainer

In reply to: [Post Types Order] Media drag & drop not working with all media filesI use the default WP Gallery with the shortcode [gallery category="pics" link="none" size="full" orderby="menu_order" order="ASC"]. And I use the Classic Editor and the Divi Builder.
However, I guess that it has nothing to do with the gallery or the editor because the problem occurs in the WP backend. I drag & drop a media file in the media list to a new place and when I reload the page, then the file is back in its old place, the new place is not saved.
With some files it works, with others not. They are all pictures (JPG), all between about 10 – 200 KB, there is no obvious difference. Very strange!
What I found out in the meantime: the posts all have the status “scheduled” because the dates are in the future (upcoming events). My shortcode uses the options post_status=”future” / orderby=”date”. It seems that the post_status ‘future’ causes the problem. When I change the date of a post to the the past, post_status changes to ‘published’ and the permalink is correct.
Is there a way to keep the post statuses ‘scheduled’ and nevertheless get the correct permalink (with postname instead of post-id)?
Thank you very much, Aert! The filter solved the problem.

In reply to: [Enigma] Fatal Error when opening page in WP backendI know that. That’s why I wrote that it’s only a temporary bypass. I hoped you would tell me how to fix it, that’s why I asked for support here.

In reply to: [Enigma] Fatal Error when opening page in WP backendHello and thank you for your reply.
The issue still exists.
Error message –> screenshot: https://ibb.co/PF9Bg2MMeanwhile I found out how to bypass the issue by changing a line in each of two widget files:
/wp-includes/widgets/class-wp-widget-media-gallery.php. —> line 82
/wp-includes/widgets/class-wp-widget-media-image.php —> line 70
Changes –> screenshot: https://ibb.co/N1ppgmN
This is of course only a temporary bypass since with the next plugin update the changes will be overwritten.
