Hi C. Bavota, Could you advise me how I can completely remove the widget. As you can see in this screen shot the widget has gone, but I cannot move the gallery to the centre as there are hidden formatting where the widget was.

Hi, thanks! I believe I did this too, and the widgets have gone. The issue is that I still have hidden column where the widget was. See the screen shot. I cannot centre the gallery strip.

HI, There is a post about it on the support forum. Sorry I cannot locate it. Also try a google search for ‘remove default widget WordPress theme’, arrow down your search to include the theme name. Good luck

I have added a plugin to create a child theme, seems to work well. One Q on that. Once I work on the child theme that, will that one remain live, and any updates to the theme will only be applied on the parent theme? Is the updating of the theme same process as normal?

Regarding the sections, I wanted to have everything on the one page. I guess this is not the theme to do that. I created separate pages (about / contact us). but would like guidance on how to remove the commenting sections on these pages:
