Actually there is a conflict with WP Security Plugin –

If you go to Security Plugin settings and
only UNCHECK the option that disables the File Editor
(Recommended Actions -> WordPress Tweaks -> Disable File Editor)
the screen loads. Even if I have a hidden backend.

I hope my SOLUTION post did not imply that you ‘force’ anyone for DONATION or that the banner is misleading.
If so it looked due to my bad english, I apologize.

It was my mistake that I thought the banner was for UPGRADE and not to FINALIZE UPDATE. (PERHAPS IF YOU had the word FINALIZE inside the green button would work better for us who are ‘hasty’ readers)

Anyway, I wanted to clarify that and to THANK YOU for your support and the great plugin..

SOLUTION for me: I discovered I had not finalized the update. It appears on top of the usual pages and it says something like:
“You are almost done. To finalize your update please click on the button on the left”
It is a little bit confusing because the button says’ UPDATE’ (or UPGRADE) and initially I thought it was for upgrading to the PRO version, so I did not proceed.
Once done, it redirects to a new page, that asks for donation (optional)

Now, adding a new ad works fine.

When I click ‘Add New’ it starts with this error message in the Preview Area.

I have the same issue. Some times it posts no image at all, OR it takes image from the sidebar (in my case it is an advertisement it chooses to display)

Had the same problem, after upgrading to 3.9 I had a blank screen when trying to reach the wp-admin and wp-login.php.
After disabling all plugins, and the theme, I had a message that said there said: Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at …..wp-config.php:26) ……wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1121

solution:
OPEN wp-config.php – go to the line that indicates the problem(for me it was 26) make sure you delete every, white space, double empty spaces, double empty rows..
your wp-config.php should start without blank spaces with <?php
and end with ?>
without any empty rows or white spaces after that.

Same here…
It appeared today. I keep screenshots of stats, and yesterday or before yesterday it was not there.
The sites are not spammers at all.. They are referrers from campaigns or facebook / social or search results.
I hope it has not ‘sent’ these clicks we did when trying to figure out what this link is all about as reports to any database and sites being accused of spamming for no reason.
Will someone from Jetpack Support reply to this ?

After updating to 3.5.1 I had the same issue. There was some sort of a blank area hiding all editing functions and areas on the post editing page.
I solved it by deactivating all plugins and using the twenty eleven theme. The post editing screen was back again.
after re-activing one plugin at a time, it became clear that it was a problem caused by one plugin.
re-installed old theme. everything works fine.
just a reminder for everybody, to check your plugins first… before trying more time-consuming fixes.

the problem with the nickname.. was solved.. I did nothing, but maybe it needed some time.. I am not sure..

so, the only thing that still needs an answer:

How can I re-touch, make some slight modifications to the customized widget (with colors and everything..??) do I need to do it all over again??

I had not registered for a wordpress plugin..

I got the key, ok.. now..

BUT:

a. I still have to re-do everything if I want to customize the look and feel of the widget

and

MOST IMPORTANT

b. when entering a nickname.. it doesn’t keep it, and stucks.. in the grey box where the nickname is requested..

having the same problem here too..
I have an area (category) for certain users only but when trying to access it without being logged in, I go to an empty page.
I have set the redirection to go to a custom url or the blog’s start page. nothing seems to work.
