I am testing category posts widget with polylang.
If I put category posts widget on the english version and fill in the “Post details” and a category filter and then do the same in the french version (with different category filter) then the french version overwrites the english version.

Does Polylang also not work with category posts widget or does it only work in PRO version?

NO problem. I’ll abandon WPML. Too many problems

Thanks for writing.

I don’t have to translate anything. I used translatepress to translate the site but we moved to WPML (for SEO reasons).

We categorized all posts by category “Language”.
We used category posts on each static (language) homepage to display only those posts with the category of that “language”.

Now in WPML nothing works. I added [catposts..] to the other languages (translation) but I don’t see the posts except titles.
In appearance – customize – I only see the category posts shortcode of the default language.

One month delay.
I don’t have any event.php anymore

More sites do have the same problem:

I uninstalled the events calendar.
Problem is still there in Version 5.4.0.
There is no way to make it work.

There’s no way to make it work.
It doesn’t work when there are multiple languages on the site.
I don’t think it has anything to do with translatepress (but I’m not sure).

But… no shortcode is used

Please let me ask two more things:

1) Is this also possible for blog messages?
2) I also would like to know how to delete text from the database p.e. if I change text in the default language, how can I remove the old text (and the translation) from the database?
Otherwise, slowly but surely the whole database will become full of texts and translations.

I would like to report the same issue.

These are my list/month/day view url’s’

domain/events/(/?:list)
domain/events/(/?:month)
domain/events/(/?:today)

Sometimes even “events” is coded like this:

domain/(/?:events)/(/?:list)
domain/(/?:events)/(/?:month)
domain/(/?:events)/(/?:today)

There is only one solution. Change WP site language back to English and after that switching to local language again.
However a day later the above links are back again.

Why does no one from The Events Calendar take the time to answer?
A lot of threads and messages all over the internet with the same kind of problems.

By the way, is there a way to put the url in the code?

I’m thinking of switching calendar.
Can’t go on with these links that doesn’t work.

I do have 3 imagemaps in every language (menu buttons).
(I use elementor)
I put all together and added the [trp_language language="fr_FR"][/trp_language] tags around the imagemap code and restricted it by language to french.

However it doesn’t seem to work.
I see the [trp_language language="fr_FR"][/trp_language] tags in the site.

btw: does this solution slow down the site?
