I’m having same issue. Please indicate if you restored contact form 7 plugin version or wordpress version or ??
Thanks for your patience. I have resolved the SPF record and the test email gives a green OK indicator. I will resolve the DKIM and DMARC records shortly. Sorry for my confusion over root domain and sub-domains. Please close this thread.
Email from address is [email protected] for both sites.
Saved again. No change in results. The SPF record is configured correctly when using MxToolbox.com. Please provide some debugging tips.
Thanks for the debugging tip. This allowed me to find that the gmail API was not enabled on one of the gmail addresses. Now both addresses appear in the ‘from email’ address and do show beside the connected email address. Upgraded back to V2.6.0. Now back to my original problem, I’m getting SPF, DKIM and DMARC error messages. I believe these records have been created but would like more debugging help to understand why these are being generated. Can I get a location to add an error log statement in another module?
The 2.5.1 version works correctly on one of two gmail accounts. On the one that does not work, the email ‘from address’ is not shown but the test email works fine on both accounts. When updating to V2.6.0 neither account works without giving errors on the test email.
Is there any logs to review or change any code in one of the modules to do more testing? Thanks again for your support.
It appears the resolution was to downgrade the plugin to version 3.5.1.
I am now able to use the existing gmail account with no errors when sending a test email.
It also is showing the email address in the from email dropdown and is showing the email beside the remove connection button.
Yes, something is wrong. There is no Connected as ??
I have removed the connection and tried a different browser. I have disabled all other plugins, changed themes. no success yet.
I have set the remove ALL WP Mail SMTP data and deleted the plugin on a testing website. After reinstalling and used a different gmail address and different Client Id and Client Secret. When loading everything back, after authenticating properly (no errors), no ‘from email’ address is displayed in the drop down list during the last step in the setup wizard.
More suggestions welcome. Thanks for working through this with me.Authorization was successful but no dropdown menu and cannot change the from address.
Sorry, no dropdown menu.
I have found the issue why the root domain is different from the sub-domain. The root domain is still using the google client ID and secret from the previous host provider.
I am not able to update the email address on the sub-domain. I have clicked on “remove Connection” and re-authenticated successfully. The email address is blank and will not allow me to change it. The test email is successful and gives SPF not found message. When using MxToolbox, the SPF record is found. How to determine what the plugin is actually verifying? Do I need to delete the plugin and re-install?I am using the root domain in my “from email”.
SPK and DKIM checks work fine on my root domain.
On my root domain DMARC provides an error showing another domain in the error message that is not my current domain but a domain used by the previous hosting provider.
Latest version (v2.6) is installed.
Using same domain registrar.
I have added Google SPF records. I have not changed the DKIM record.
I have also added a DMARC record.
MXToolBox says SPF record is fine for both root domain and sub domain.
MxToolbox says no DKIM and DMARC records but the plugin passes the test on root domain. It appears that whatever is saved in the plugin on my root domain is not pointing to the correct domain.
It appears to be using an old domain from the previous hosting provider.
Is this stored in a wordpress table?
Any other tools to use?G-Suite with custom domain and sub-domains.
I am using gmail.
