In reply to: [Benchmark Email Lite] Signup form error messageHi,
Ah, on a Mac. Okay, I’ll try to reproduce your issue again on my Mac using Safari when I get home from work. And correct, I was able to see your signup form at https://nonprofit.citygenesis.org/index.php/newsletter/ on my Windows 10 PC using the latest Firefox, Chrome, and Edge browsers.
P.S., Do me a favor, when you see the issue again try a different browser such as Firefox and/or Chrome and let us know what you see. Moreover, be sure to completely wipe your cache whenever you try to reproduce the issue.
Sincerely,
Randy Sandberg

In reply to: [Benchmark Email Lite] Signup form error messageSorry to hear all this. I tried to reproduce the issue with the following browsers but failed:
Windows Firefox version 100.0 (64-bit)
Windows Chrome version 101.0.4951.54 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Windows Edge version 101.0.1210.39 (Official build) (64-bit)If you could supply us with steps to reproduce that would be awesome. And, I hear you that the issue randomly occurs and — as a Software Test Engineer — feel your pain so just do the best you can do to let us know what OS, browser version, etcetera you’re typically using when you see the issue. As well as anything else you feel might help us also see what you’re seeing.
Sincerely and thanks in advance,
Randy Sandberg

In reply to: [Benchmark Email Lite] API key and authentication codes keep resettingHey Jon, so sorry to hear this. Must be super frustrating to say the least! Is there anything you can remember doing prior to this happening again? Anything at all website related will be helpful in figuring this out. And no, other than manually deleting the API Key and/or Authentication Token and saving the page, I haven’t been able to reproduce the issue. Obviously, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. But, we do need a reproducible case so we can fix it. Thus, anything you or your site did around the time of the issue will be very helpful. Thanks in advance!
P.S., Prior to this issue happening, have you ever simply saved the Benchmark > Settings page???
P.P.S., If possible, please list out the plugins and their versions that you use along with WordPress itself and your theme.

In reply to: [Benchmark Email Lite] API key and authentication codes keep resettingYikes Jon, as the test engineer here I have never seen this issue occur nor heard about it. I’ve reached out to Sean, the developer, to get his thoughts. While we wait, if you could come up with steps to reproduce that would be awesome. But, I will understand why you may not be able to given the very odd intermittent nature of this issue.
In the meantime, if you have this issue again, it would be best to “log out” then log back in. I say “log out” because we haven’t yet setup an actual log out button. Instead, on the Benchmark > Settings page, delete the contents of all three fields (i.e., API Key, Authentication Token, and Automation Pro Token) then click Save Changes. Once logged out, log back in. In fact, do this now to make sure we’re all on the same page.

In reply to: [Benchmark Email Lite] Shortcodes load the wrong form stylingHi Ben,
The only form I see at https://substantiveresearch.com/request-demo/ is one that begins with Product Name and ends with Phone and has a total of eight fields. My bad if that’s our Benchmark Email Lite signup form in action. LOL, because I’ve never seen it repurposed that way. Moreover, if so, cool! Anyway, if it is indeed our widget/form in action then I am still not able to reproduce the bug you’re speaking of. If possible, please expand on my Steps to Reproduce below:
- With the latest Windows Chrome, Firefox, or Edge browser, go to https://substantiveresearch.com/request-demo/
- Note size/position of form
- Reload page 10 times
- Resize page both horizontally as well as vertically 10 times
As it stands from my steps above — using the latest versions versions of browsers noted — I was not able to reproduce the issue. The form stayed where it was supposed to stay. Thus, if possible, unless I’m missing a few steps, another site sans any workarounds you’ve employed for me to more easily reproduce the bug would be awesome.
Sincerely,
Randy

In reply to: [Benchmark Email Lite] Shortcodes load the wrong form stylingHi @bengallienne,
I went to https://substantiveresearch.com/request-demo/ as suggested but don’t see our Benchmark Email Lite signup form. I do see a signup form here https://substantiveresearch.com/#media but, given your stated workaround, cannot reproduce the issue. As the tester guy, I need to be able to reproduce this issue. Do you have a dev site I can access that can reproduce this issue?
Thanks in advance,
Randy Sandberg

In reply to: [Benchmark Email Lite] Shortcodes no longer load formsHello Ben,
Sorry to hear this. Please provide exact steps to reproduce. Also note what version of WordPress, Benchmark Email Lite, and the browser you are using. Moreover, instead of the missing form, what do you see (e.g., blank space, error message, etc.)?
I ask because using WordPress 5.5, Benchmark Email Lite 3.3, and Windows Chrome 84.0.4147.135 I was not able to reproduce your issue with a shortcode copied/pasted onto a newly created page. That is, the form appeared and I was able to subscribe a new user.
Thanks in advance,
Randy Sandberg

In reply to: [Benchmark Email Lite] Email field automatically populatedHi @lcarhart,
We haven’t yet been able to reproduce your issue. If possible, can you please delete and reinstall your Benchmark Email Lite widget. Once installed, please simply select a contact list or signup form and then test it again in a browser where a) the user isn’t logged in to the back end of the site and b) the browser’s cache has been cleared. Then report back your findings.
P.S., Be sure to keep this test super simple. That is, after dragging/installing the widget simply choose a signup form or — preferably — a contact list and then test it.
Thanks in advance!

In reply to: [Benchmark Email Lite] Email field automatically populatedThanks! I was able to reproduce the issue using Mac Firefox 65. I reported this finding to Sean. We’ll get back to you as soon as we can. Thanks again for letting us know!
P.S., Can you please confirm what version of Benchmark Email Lite you are using? And, of course, if it needs an update please update it. Moreover, what version of WordPress and what theme/version are you using? Thanks again!
