In reply to: HTML block (Gutenberg) no longer expandableHi Tammie, thank you! I’ve added a little more information there.
Cheers, Raoul
I agree, it is extremely risky behaviour. There was no further reaction of the DEV to my reply though.
Thanks!
Ok, I solved it by following instructions in an earlier post:
– changed the name of the plugin throught ftp
– logged in
– changed back the name of the plugin (through ftp, while still being logged in in WP)
– switched off the ‘enable google’ recaptcha in the Brute Force settings page
– and then switched of the login recaptcha tooSo the problems started when I opted-in to have the Google ReCaptcha appear everywhere months ago. That recaptcha never showed up, nor did the standard math-recaptcha. But the plugin still expected some mathematical outcome without actually asking it, causing people to keep trying to login (and thus to be blocked eventually).
Cheers,

Hi,
Thanks for the answer. I find it a little strange though that UpdraftPlus first just shows only the backups of the site it’s installed on, but that it’s not possible to get rid of the list of non-related backups after the ‘scan remote storage’ button has been pressed (even de-installing and re-installing the plugin doesn’t make it go back to the old list). The list shows no names of the backups, so the risk of deleting the wrong backups (of other sites) is very real.
I appreciate BackupdraftPlus enormously, and I understand that the paid version needs the have benefits in comparison to the free version, but this seems dangerous behaviour to me. A button with something like ‘show only backups related to this site’ would make sense. Or at least showing the names of the backup would be a great help to make the user understand what he is looking at. Presently he literaly has no clue.
Cheers, Raoul

In reply to: [Pods - Custom Content Types and Fields] relationship field disappearsThis turned out to be a specific problem with the field label ‘status’. Any other label works fine. So no structural problem with the relationship filed. A bug report has been filed at github.

In reply to: [Quotes Collection] random autorefresh limited to 21 times? After looking through the settings I found that a maximum number of iterations can be set there, and that is be default set to 20 (my bad, I should have checked that first). However, I also noticed that the maximum number that can be set there is 40…
Would there be a way to set that to infinite, so that the collection of quotes keeps being looped through while the visitor is on the site?
Thanks!

In reply to: fr-unit still not supported?Ah, turns out you don’t see all that information when you’re not signed in, just the pull request, but not the results. I see it now…
We’ll wait then!
Thanks!

In reply to: fr-unit still not supported?OK, thanks. I’m not very familiar with the protocols on GitHub. I see the pull request from nine days ago, but I can’t see that it’s blocked (but then again, i’m not even sure how to see that ;-).
We’ll have to wait for CSSLint then – but I’m not sure what it is that will trigger the person or persons behind CSSLint to actually fix it.
Cheers!

In reply to: fr-unit still not supported?Hi,
Thanks for you answer. It has been signaled on Github several times:
https://core.trac.www.ads-software.com/ticket/42528
https://github.com/CSSLint/parser-lib/issues/228Aparently WP makes use of something called CSSLint for the editor, but I have no idea what that is. So i’m not sure this would count as a bug, or someone responsible for CSSLint lagging (very) behind.
Cheers

Well, that was a typical case of tunnel vision – found it!
Hi Jun Keat,
Chiming in here. When you add a new popup, in the bottom left part of the screen you’ll find a tab ‘trigger’. To the right, there is a button ‘add trigger’. That leads you to a choice between a click-on trigger or a timed trigger. You can set the amount of time there as well.
Cheers,

In reply to: Keep posts for SEO, but redirect to homepage? Thanks for that view. I agree, but at the same time Google is pretty influential when it come to my site being found or not…
I guess putting the user first and taking less of Google’s moral dogmas into account would, in this case, translate into using the 302 redirects.

In reply to: Show real aspect ratio in media libraryFor readers stumbling upon this thread: there is a more direct solution than installing the mentioned plugin. In the settings of WordPress (Settings > Media) simply uncheck the option that says ‘Crop thumbnail to exact dimensions’.
In the list view this will show you the thumbnail of the entire image, now not cropped to a square. In the gallery view they will still be square though (but the plugin would not solve that either).
And the problem, when inserting images into content, the only view available is the gallery view. It would be much better if we would have an option to choose between list or gallery view there as well – but alas!

In reply to: Show real aspect ratio in media libraryThank you, that did help. The aspect ratio is still square, but it allows for a list of dimensions, which is helpful!
Cheers!
