    Hey,

I already did that, result -> all child sites reverts back to 200 except the main site stays at 3000.

I tried activating it as Network Wide also, result -> all sites including main site revert back to 200.

    Thanks,

    Hey,

I just did the same thing, tested it on a fresh installation with the wordpress default theme with no plugins. Added 1 post in each site (total 3 sites main+2child) with a permalink more than 200 character and it was working. After updating, no links got broken but the posts permalink length reduced from ~240 to 200 after the update, and when I checked the database the column (post_name) in wp_2_posts & wp_3_posts reverted back to 200.

If your post_name column in site2 and site3 didn’t reduce to 200 in the database, then I don’t know what to do.

if you still suggest to contact through the authors website then i will.

    Thank you for your time!

    Hi @antithesisgr,

Thanks for getting back to me,

    * Do you get any error messages in wp-admin when you do the update?
    -No
    * Can you have a look at your error log and see if there are any errors there?

    * Was our plugin active when you tried the upgrade?
-Yes, it is was active on each site

After updating to 5.5.1, I have to click on the “Upgrade Network” button, once the upgrade network is done, here the columns length reduce back to 200.

I even updated the plugin to v1.23. As I mentioned my wordpress is Multisite, I have been trying to update it all day without it reverting back to 200, I couldn’t. But what I found out is that the once the plugin is activated in all sites without Network Activating it, all sites slug length reduce back to 200 except the main site remains 3000. If the plugin is activated in all sites + Network Active, all sites + main site slug length reduces to 200 (main site will reduce even before clicking on the Upgrade Network button)

I am positive you can reproduce it by upgrading a *Multisite* wordpress from 5.2 to 5.5.1.

Sorry if my explanation is not clear,

Thank you for your cooperation and support.
