In reply to: [Formidable PRO2PDF] Site is down – can’t generate PDFsThe PRO2PDF VPS service?provider is experiencing repeated?DDoS?cyber-attacks which are?causing our VPS DNS to propagate each time they change the server IP address.
Unfortunately, the PRO2PDF plugin API is at the mercy of the hosting provider, the good news is that they’ve been a great service provider for 8+ years and we expect they are doing everything they?can to stem the attacks.
Our E2Pdf plugin is not affected and is built to withstand such attacks.
You may migrate PRO2PDF activation keys to E2Pdf with this online tool. E2Pdf subscription plans still apply. https://e2pdf.com/checkout/license/new/2

In reply to: [Formidable PRO2PDF] Site is down – can’t generate PDFsWe are still seeing signs of the attack, so we are working on firewall rules to derail the attack. For now, the server appears to be stable and able to generate PDFs.

For clarification regarding the PRO2PDF service. This year we experienced one 6-hour (overnight in the U.S.) server outage two days ago, and today our provider is experiencing a DDOS attack.
We will update you as the situation changes as we remain at your service.

In reply to: [Formidable PRO2PDF] Checkbox MappingEach Formidable Form Checkbox Field (no matter how many options it has) must be mapped to each PDF Field Checkbox and each PDF Checkbox must have a unique field name.
So, if the Formidable Form checkbox ID is [100] and has 4 options (ANSWER1, ANSWER2, ANSWER3, ANSWER4)
Then, map [100] to each of the 4 PDF Checkbox fields named (ANSWER1, ANSWER2, ANSWER3, ANSWER4) each with an EXPORT VALUE to match (ANSWER1, ANSWER2, ANSWER3, ANSWER4)Here’s a video example of the above. If you still have issues, send us a PDF form for instructions to match your form. https://youtu.be/3BIH6IB_zBk
FYI: There is a known issue with corrupting checkbox fields if they are incorrectly mapped. So, if all is mapped correctly, try replacing the PDF checkbox(es).

In reply to: [Formidable PRO2PDF] Checkbox MappingThe post is outdated but still accurate. Take a look at this post which includes a downloadable example.
Double-check your settings to be sure they are correct, most importantly;
– The PDF field’s EXPORT DATA value must match the Formidable Form checkbox value, exactly.
– Each PDF field Name must be unique. If you send your PDF to support AT formidablepro2pdf.com we’ll take a look at it and provide specific steps to resolve any issue.

PDFtk is not required for WP installations, that are connected to the internet, to map one Formidable Form to a PDF.

In reply to: [Formidable PRO2PDF] How to make a PDF to “Work with”No, our plugin uses the static PDF field positions and is unable to move the PDF fields. Additionally, the plugin does not recognize CSS, it only recognizes basic HTML.
Our other plugin, E2Pdf offers more flexibility, however, it’s also limited in the ability to move fields around the PDF form and CSS is also limited to basic formatting.

In reply to: [Formidable PRO2PDF] How to start with this PluginHere’s the step-by-step directions. youtube.com/watch?v=zOA-rGyv-js
Let us know if you need additional specific help.Keep in mind, the PDF form must already contain the PDF Form Field before uploading to the plugin. It’s best practice to name the PDF fields the same as the FIELD KEYS of the formidable form (not the Field IDs, use the Field Keys) and enable (check) the “Enable automated layout creation for new field maps” setting under the SETTINGS tab before creating the Field Map Layout.

We are doing everything we can to prevent the DDoS Attack, and it appears to be working.

Our server is experiencing a DDoS Attack, however, it’s an amateur attack that we’re able to block.
The plugin should be working as expected now and we’ll keep a close eye on the situation.
