I think the problem is that the CSS is styling the posts as well… I had a look with Firebug and could not see a way to target the post title directly. Does this makes sense?

Yes, I noticed! Did you get a chance to look into the styling re:post titles, would like to try a solid colour just behind it, could be a good alternative to not showing the title, which would still be a great option to have as well.

Yes, I had a look and it’s quite tricky, I even find it hard to style it individually without messing up other elements on the theme.

So, right now I am looking inside your php file to see if I can comment something out…
