Hi,
Just wanted to let you know that I can see no issue on my site after migrating to swirly bracket as a language tag separator.
I’ve created a pull request on https://github.com/qTranslate-Team/qtranslate-x/pull/282 containing all my modifications.Best regards
Hello,
Thank you! I will make the changes you proposed on a copy of my site and get back to you tomorrow.
As for the rest of the questions:
1) I am using the “WPBakery Visual Composer & qTranslate-X” plugin.
2) From what I can tell, the origin of the issue with “[” in lang codes is not related to qTranslate-X but rather to the Visual Composer. I’ve created a support ticket on the vendor site of the theme I’ve been using – https://help.us-themes.com/zephyr/tickets/6479/
The source of the issue lies probably somewhere in the VC code. In particular, I’ve found that the vc_get_shortcode_regex function seems to create a regexp that will fail when ‘[‘ or ‘]’ will be present in the shortcode attribute text.Best regards
Thank you for fast response.
I was hoping this would be a way to solve plugin compatibility issues with plugins like Visual Composer (wbpakery.com).
My current multilingual setup works well, but creates duplicated layout in addition to textual content for each language. As a way to avoid it I was testing the possibility of using different markup for my translations (“[” character breaks the editor) and use inline translations that get treated by the editor as regular text, within one layout definition.Best regards
