OMG I just figured it out!!!
Look in your plugin folder
if you have a widgets.php there.
Delete it! And the problem is fixed!!!

Where did you add that emilbus20?
Because stll after a new install of WP
I still get wp-admin/themes.php?page=widgets.php
in the Appearance – Widgets instead of wp-admin/widgets.php
I could fix this but I have no idea which file needs to be fixed.
I checked all three widgets.php and they seem to be correct!

This is a real pain…. I deal with multiple blogs and can’t seem to find the soloution. (I’m using FireFox and tried IE same issue)

WTF!! WP Even the new 2.8.5. update didn’t fix this problem!! As if..

I can access the widgets just fine if I manually edit the link from
https://Blog.com/wp-admin/themes.php?page=widgets.php
to https://Blog.com/wp-admin/widgets.php

But that’s no good for my clients.

Has anyone found where to fix this problem yet? I can’t finf the line in themes.php either. But I have the same problem, on my own blog as well as my clients.
