In reply to: [TypePad to Wordpress assets importer] Do you have plans to update for 5.x?I just installed a fresh WP on my machine, reimported content from a Typepad blog, installed the plugin and made it run, and it worked perfectly.
I’m gonna update the “tested up to” value. You should be good to go.

In reply to: [TypePad to Wordpress assets importer] Do you have plans to update for 5.x?Hi Greg,
Yes, I’m still around.
To quickly answer your question, I only have tested the plugin up to WP 4.2.28, but I think that it should perfectly work with WP 5.x.
I will quickly test it and let you know if it works.

In reply to: [WordPress Importer] WordPress Importer displays an error message@esmi: my point is not to force the plugin author to answer, but since this is an Automatic plugin, I thought they would consider fixing bugs…

In reply to: [TypePad to Wordpress assets importer] Many, many copies of the same imageHi Idomela,
Can you tell me which version of WP you’re using?
Could you also give me the URL of your TypePad blog, in order for me to test the import from it?Thanks
RomainPerfect!
Thanks a lot Alessandro.Hi Alessandro,
Do you have an ETA for this feature?
Thanks
RomainHi Bozz,
If you see this when you open your images in a text editor, this means that they are not regular images but HTML content instead.
I’ve no clue why typepad have files with the jpg extension that are not images, but this explains why they don’t display on your wordpress site.Have a nice day.

Could you send me your export file, so I could try to do the import on my side?

In reply to: [TypePad to Wordpress assets importer] Seems to stallHi Steve,
No there is no maximum number of assets you can import in your WordPress blog.
However, what may have happened is that your server blocks the script after a certain time, to protect itself.
Have you tried to re-run the script? If everything went well until now, the assets that have already been imported have a new path using your new blog URL and no longer use the TypePad URL. The script uses the TypePad URL of your previous blog to detect what are the assets to import (that’s why I ask for it at the beginning). Re-running the script may potentially work, because the script should only try to import the assets that have not been imported yet.Let me know if this works.
Best regards,

In reply to: [TypePad to Wordpress assets importer] URLs?Hi Steeleweed,
When you created your TypePad blog, you chose a URL like https://name.typepad.com.
https://www.sitename.com is a domain name that you bought and applied after having created your blog. The TypePad URL is mandatory because it’s the only one the plugin can use to copy your images. Indeed, the domain name has probably been re-used by your new wordpress blog and is no more applied to your TypePad blog.
If you give me your domain name (https://www.sitename.com), I think I can find your TypePad URL.
Romain
This does not completely fix the problem.
If you click on the settings tab, you still get errors about unknown variables of instance.
But thanks anyway for this tip.
