I believe this issue was caused by running out of memory during the update.

With that said I still am in a state of unknown. I have WP Better security in my plugins folder but I’m scared to turn it on because I don’t entirely know what will happen. I left everything in my htaccess file but I did notice that the wp-admin redirect was not functioning this time around with the plugin off. Would like to know the safest way to re-enable the plugin.

Unfortunately your issue doesn’t sound all that similar to mine. I played around with it for probably 5 hours and finally found a hack of a solution. For me I had to go back to the “stock” twenty ten title call in the header and hack away from there. For what ever reason if I put the simple header call that the plugin tells you to use it would not work.

I’m sorry but your post is not that comprehensive and doesn’t address the issue of the comment text not showing up at all. I’ve researched and read about 5 different reviews on migrating from blogger to wordpress and I don’t see any that address the comment text not showing up.

Does anyone know how to use the custom fields as a rewrite rule? Is this not possible?
