It is setup to use Linux. I found the .htaccess files in some of my other sites in cyberduck…. even though show hidden files is checked I still had to do a search. When I did that on the site I’m working on no .htaccess file came up so I made one put all the same text in it as my other sites. Refreshed my files and the pages still do not work. I’ve tried switching themes and still the same problem. In preview the page shows up. When published the page is not found. Extremely frustrating.

The show hidden files is checkmarked in cyberduck and I don’t see a .htacces file.

I use cyberduck. I’ve looked through the root folder and can not find an .htaccess file, which is why I did not think there was one. If cyberduck is hiding the file how do I make it visible and what do I need to change or add within the file.

Well I didn’t make one. If there is one I’m not sure where it is, and I’m not clear on how that is affecting my pages not being visible and I’m not sure what the solution to the problem is.

Any of the page links at the top are pages that have different page templates. When you preview the pages in draft mode they appear as they should when you publish the pages – they then say page not found.

Sorry, it’s not really a page error – it’s a “page not found”.

I don’t believe I had to make any changes in the database to make it live. I uploaded all my site files via ftp into the content folder. When I logged into myPhpAdmin for that site and went to the options table all the settings were there and correct. The correct url, site name. under option_name in the home table it says https://918personalinjury.com. All the settings that I know to check look correct. But it is still seeing the files from the development site and not the live site. Quite perplexed.

I can make a new page and use that template file – but when you preview it – it is actually seeing the template file from the development site not the new site.

The new url is updated….I’ve compared the myPhpAdmin settings to another live site we have that is functioning properly and all the settings in the options table appear to be changed and exactly as they should be. Obviously I’m missing something – just can’t figure out what it is.

The page it is showing as my homepage on my new site – Is my homepage on my development site. Hope this makes sense.

I followed some directions ~ I made my database – uploaded my wordpress installation files and all theme and plugin files. Looking in myPhpAdmin in the options table all the settings look correct. I’ve edited my wp-config file – I believe all the settings are correct there. Like I said the installation appears to have gone well. I can log into the dashboard, the theme is there and uploads. It is just not showing the 1 page (home page template) I created and it is not showing the gravity forms I created, although the plugin is there and appears to be functioning properly.

how do I get to myPhpAdmin if I can not get into the admin area? Sorry new to wordpress.
