Is it possible for the plugin author(s) to post some useful information on how to debug this problem? My problem relates to iThemes security plugin. How does the prev/next buttons work. What software modules etc..

Yes. In fact, to be precise the symptoms which in my case are caused by a conflict when using iThemes Security plugin I see are

Logged Into WP site – appearance of “-1” instead of navigating to different months/dates when clicking next/back.

Logged out of WP site – see ‘loading…’ instead when navigating to different months/dates when clicking next/back & the next months/date never appear.

I don’t think it’s necessary jquery because iThemes didn’t detect any old version of jquery and hence there is nothing to uncheck in the plugin options. I’ve tried all options I would think would cause this and can’t find the problem. Perhaps you can try the default iThemes installation and confirm you can reproduce.

Having looked again, I believe the checkbox is missing because it’s not detected any old version of jquery etc.. so there is nothing to disable etc..

However this leaves me with the problem why does iThemes Security nobble Google Calendar Events plugin. What is it about the plugin that breaks it? I cannot find any checkbox which will resolve the issue.

This is what allowed me to find out why -1 and loading… was displaying

Identified this is a conflict with iThemes Security plugin. Can anyone reproduce / confirm what aspect of the iThemes Security plugin is conflicting. Could it be jquery ?

I have the same issue. Using latest plugin and latest stable released WP. Multisite enabled.

Same issue. -1 displays when next/previous is clicked

Changed to default theme – -1 displays when next/previous is clicked
Turned off caching – same. No joy.

When ‘logged out’ slightly different symptoms instead of -1 displayed you simply get “Loading…” displayed above current calendar forever. It never completes…

This is indeed correct. I’ve had to purchase a .org.uk domain as a workaround for now which did the trick nicely. I don’t know how to report the problem to Google per say. If anyone does, let me know and I’ll document it and hope they will do something. It may not necessarily just be Google Chrome as well. You may find Firefox or some other browsers do the same. IE though as you say it works fine, there is no issues. I have not tested anything other than Chrome & IE.

I appear to be making some progress with this. I actually bought both a Gravity and a Pro version of WP User Frontend Pro license and currently using WP User Frontend Pro.

I am still keen to figure out how to do everything I want with Gravity. I even tried the beta of a new plugin called “Gravity View” add-on but it still didn’t really do what I required whereas User Frontend Pro.

User Frontend Pro appears to cover 95% of what I need without any coding however I have been concerned with the code quality & testing.

BUMP. I agree. I’m totally confused here too. Is this plugin actually maintained by anyone. It’s not been tested with 3.9.1 ?

I’m experiencing the same issue.

Are you saying there is a ‘feature’/’bug’ which means if you have greater powers than an ‘editor’ the merging doesn’t work properly.

The subscriber role has

delete_events
edit_events
read_private_events
delete_recurring_events
edit_recurring_events
edit_locations
read_private_locations
read_others_locations
manage_bookings
upload_event_images

all TICKED. Rest are not ticked

The edit button is available and I can actually save the event after modifying it.

I am using Press Permit Pro & Capability Manager Enhanced plugins which are working just fine with every other plugin.

When I grant ‘page’ edit rights as a supplementary role on top of the ‘Subscriber’ role the issue occurs. It shouldn’t as ‘events’ is not a ‘page’. It’s a custom post type, correct?

I am thinking of purchasing the pro version of this plugin if I can get the plugin working properly with the above 2 plugins.

I’ve managed to get the custom taxonomies showing on the right hand side of the Event admin screen.

How would I assign event colours on the Full Calendar to my custom taxonomies like you can with Event Categories.

Thank you. I have already read this article and used a similar plugin (types) to register and associate the CT’s with the 3 EM CPT’s

All the CT’s had data in them and yet nothing has changed on either the front end or back-end.

The article says no code needs changing (even for existing CT’s if they are then associated) and yet I cannot see the CT’s anywhere as described.

Am I misinterpreting the article?
