Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: 421 Misdirected Request errorsThanks, Bruno. I just got info from the client that he tried loading his site as a regular anonymous visitor from an Apple store in another city on multiple devices. He says it’s happening for him there as well. He’s had these sites since around 2009, and the fact that the issue began happening shortly after we installed SSL. There isn’t a Google authentication service involved.
One of the readers wrote and said they were using the Vienna RSS reader app and were able to read the posts fine in that app, but the second they opened the posts in Safari tabs, they got the 421 Misdirected Request error.

In reply to: 421 Misdirected Request errorsThanks. I should have mentioned that we did clear browser caches like crazy. Also, the issue doesn’t occur in the Private mode of Safari (and not at all in regular or incognito mode of other browsers). It just happens in regular mode in Safari.
I also installed this on Pantheon and it does work on Dev but doesn’t show up in the Tools menu on Test/Live environments. Broken probably due to the non-writable aspect of Test/Live.

In reply to: [Show/Hide Content at Set Time] Latest version of plugin not workingI wish I could remember what changed since 2 months ago. Oh well. Must have been one of those things where some plugin or theme update made the problem and then another one made it go away.
@loganvenderlic Thanks for sharing your particular solution. In our case, we do have direct access to the DNS and were able to configure it correctly for Mandrill’s verification checks to all be “green”. In our web server error logs are a number of errors coming directly from the wpMandrill WordPress plugin. I’m thinking it might have something to do with that. Still, I have a ticket open with Mandrill on it and hope, someday, they’ll respond. They’re typically not very quick to respond.
I also have this exact same issue. A thread I was looking at on StackOverflow, that appears to have been answered by a Mandrill tech support person, stated that the attachment part of the send has to be a sub-part of the message for it to be included.

I wonder if this might be the issue. Anyone with the Contact 7 Forms or Postman SMTP plugin teams listening?

Here is one of 10 such matches for the occurrence of the internal server error. They’re all pretty much like this one, differing only on the time stamp and post ID.

SiteGround (the host) defaults to PHP 7.0.22. I upgraded to PHP 7.1.8 and that fixed the problem. Thanks.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Add to Cart not showing on variable productsInteresting. Well, you can follow the thread at https://www.elegantthemes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=187&t=481022&p=2678432#p2678432 to see how they respond to my inquiry.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Add to Cart not showing on variable productsYes. I did try just the 2015 theme and WooCommerce without the jquery cookie fix plugin. It also worked then, just as it worked fine after I enabled the jquery fix plugin with 2015. That’s even more confusing to me.
I found out it was an issue in a completely unrelated way. When I uploaded a video background to Divi for my home page, the video background wouldn’t load when WooCommerce was enabled. When I disabled WooCommerce, that’s when the video background would load. I only discovered the variant product connection later when I was researching my video background issue. But both issues are connected to this jquery problem.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Add to Cart not showing on variable productsI don’t know what that would be, though. I’m not using any kind of child theme. This is straight-up Divi, right off the Elegant Themes site. In my open ticket with them, they had actually referred me to your plugin and said it was the WooCommerce interaction with GoDaddy’s MOD_SECURITY core rules. As I said before, GoDaddy just laughed at me when I asked them for an update.
Nevertheless, I’ll let Elegant Themes know of your assessment in the ticket I already have open with them. We’ll see what they say.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Add to Cart not showing on variable productsOk. It’s switched to 2015 now.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Add to Cart not showing on variable productsI’ve disabled all plugins except WooCommerce.
I’ve set the theme to the default TwentyFifteen theme.
I do see that it works fine without errors in the Inspector.
To save us some back-and-forth in this discussion, when I enable Divi, it produces the error, as expected.
However, when I enable the WooCommerce jQuery Cookie Fix plugin, the error still remains. That’s the part I’m stuck on. And, I’ve left the site in this exact state so you can see it.

Why won’t the plugin work? And, instead of the plugin, why won’t the filename change + function.php action not fix the problem either?
