Thanks, David and Bryle!
Thanks, what’s the best way to post/upload it?
I can’t. The person who set it up and owns the license on my site is not available.
It seems paused again. In the dashboard it says: (latest increment: Nov 12, 2020 15:43)
Even though it was ‘killed’ two days ago, it started again out of the blue, even though it’s not scheduled for another month.
Site is dragged to a halt and I can rarely get into wp-admin
The messages in the log are different now, and it does seem to be splitting at 25mb vs 400mb but I wish I could tell if it’s almost done or I need to get support to kill it again.
Here are the latest messages

@bcrodua I just wanted to thank you for the help.
My host support ‘freed up resources,’ which I believe killed the backup before it was done. I’ll have to look into the logs and snoop around to see what had actually completed.
I only got one backup complete email vs the normal number. But, it kept going and doing something. Maybe the last steps are copying things to dropbox?
OMG I just checked and it’s still going.
I’ve done this backup before and it finished in half the time (still too long, but half the time). I haven’t added much since my last full back, just a few blog posts with small images, so it seems my host has limited things even more.
I found the log (txt) file but it just shows a lot of ‘still going’ and delay messages.
Thanks for the reply!
I’ll be changing those setting going forward, but things are so slow I can’t get into WP-Admin. I can see in C-Panel (through files being created via File Manager) that it’s still going, but no clue how much is left.
I JUST got an email saying “Backed up:” after the full backup, but it’s still doing something. Looking at previous patterns of emails it’s most likely doing the database right now.
I guess it’s almost done ??
It worked!
Thank you so much!
Roland
