Though it doesn’t work with most TLDs, but it works fine with common TLDs like .com, .org or .net. For example, try .ng or something similar, it won’t work. But, try .com it will work ??

It is ‘locked’ and I cannot unlock that from the settings page. Is it possible to unlock this myself from my WHM area? I have VPS server with WHM root access.

BTW, if the error message displayed this “Port 43 must be unlocked by your hosting provider” instead of this “Unable to connect to whois.crsnic.net”, it would save both of our time and avoid any negative reviews.

We couldn’t replicate the issue you mentioned in our environment (WP version 5.5.1). The free version of Dominion is working for any TLDs (not only for .com). Not sure if you correctly placed the shortcode [dominion_shortcodes_domain_search_6] in your page. If you could provide us some more details about the ‘error reports’ you get for other TLDs, we could help you.

BTW, there would not be 100+ active installations (till now) of Dominion if the plugin would work for .com only ??
