Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Anyone know how to change the title?lol, thanks. I was pretty sure it was easy but I just didn’t have the time to search even a little bit.
It’s been resolved. Support at one.com did it for me. ??
I guess that’s my advice for anyone who has one.com questions.
I can’t download it to an html file and that’s all I see. And I just tried it and it didn’t go. Anything else I can give you?
Then that’s what I don’t know how to do, upload the whole directory. Should I just redo it?

Honestly, I think the only question left to answer may just be how do I install the tables in my database.
To whooami,
Yes to all of them. I used FTP to upload wordpress to the root directory, but it’s not showing up in the database.
To sonddogtech,
Any chance you can give me example of how a root directory might look? Because I think I’ve already done all of that too.
Well, I’ve done pretty much all of wordpresses installation instructions, even the ones I didn’t have the right prerequisites for. When I click on the /wp-admin/install.php, this weird error message page comes up that has the wordpress logo, a search engine box, and a button to “install” wordpress. Hope I don’t give away too much, but it looks like this: file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Derrick/My%20Documents/wordpress-2.8.6/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php?step=2
or
file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Derrick/My%20Documents/wordpress-2.8.6/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php
Whichever one works.
I don’t really know what question to ask except: how do I get the tables to show up in my database? WordPress is not in my database at all.
I did that already. Nothing.

In reply to: Can’t add WordPress to one.com domainsWait, I have a better question. Did you insert this script directly into your file manager in the cPanel?

In reply to: Can’t add WordPress to one.com domainsHmm. That’s what I did. Do you have to put the underscore instead of dot com?
Ok, let’s start with creating a database. I just don’t know how to do that. According to what I’ve read here, you have to do that BEFORE you do the “wp-config.php” deal. So I guess that would be the most important thing.
I’ve read those. I just need a quick rundown from someone who’s had experience with one.com. If it’s too complicated an answer, I could break it down into specific questions, but I’m thinking it’s something pretty simple I’m not doing.

In reply to: Can’t add WordPress to one.com domainsHow did it get resolved? Can you please explain that to me?
Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: Can’t add WordPress to one.com domainsWell, this hasn’t helped me any. I also have a one.com account. I just put in localhost like it said, but still nothing. Also it instructs me to leave the symbol at the top and bottom of the script alone. The one at the top looks like this: <?php. The one at the bottom is SUPPOSED to look like this: ?>. I had to add the bottom one, but still nothing. I consider myself really computer savvy, but this is WAY too hard. I feel like I’ve come in right in the middle of everything.
