I figured it out. For the color picker was there all along – I just expected it to be as easy to use as background color for sample button! And frankly I kind of expected it to be in or around same place, too – which it wasn’t. Oh well, I’m just another dangerous WordPress newbie!

In reply to: How do I horizontally align images in same row…@andrew I somewhat agree as the open source platform that is WP has morphed, one widget at a time, into something Matt never intended – for WP is used predominantly to build websites today and not blogs.
I wish their was a widget panel that would select the best of the best and include them as standard tools in WP – and dispense with the rest. It would also make the creation of new themes easier because noone would publish a theme that didn’t work with all standard tools. But what do I know other than people who stare at code all day have to be half mad!

In reply to: How do I horizontally align images in same row…Hey Allison,
No experience whatsoever with CSS. I was, though, able to rectify the alignment problem by resizing my photos with Snagit so that all photos in same row were equal in height. It just seems dumb that one can’t grab ahold of individual columns in WP and move them with your arrow keys. I thought WP was suppose to be the latest and greatest but I’m starting to realize my old antiquated Yahoo SiteBuilder software wasn’t so bad after-all. But it is what it is!
Oh my active website that I’m now working on is https://www.Winnebago4less.com.
Thanks again for responding.
JEFF
The exact name and version of my theme is: Tesseract 2.3.1
I have version 4.13
Not to kick a dead horse or anything but I just activated MaxButtons the other day and the color picker is absent on my Tesseract 2 theme.

In reply to: Text Editor problemI went ahead and duplicated the home page (Copy of Home) because I can tinker with the ‘Text Editor’ – which is highly unstable. I’ve tried to delete what I’ve started but I couldn’t even replicate what I had already published over and were it not ‘Revisions’ feature I would not have gotten it back – thank God.
Anyhow, what I see in my ‘Text Editor’ is nothing like what is published and further I can’t seem to do the simplest of things like eliminating the space in between written text without fear of making things worse – this is f’ing MADDENING!!!
Can anyone help or shine light?
JEFF

In reply to: Newbie with lots of questions@catacaustic I went ahead and took the plunge and signed up with DreamHost and their DreamPress 2 web hosting package. Now to find a theme that will look nice and work well for a pontoon and boat dealer. Any ideas? For I’m starting to get the creeping feeling I might be in over my head!
