I found my issue. I’m using Site5 as my host and it looks like all of there servers can’t send out email. I have over a dozen sites with shared a dedicated servers and none of the email is working. So it’s not the plugin. When I went to an smtp plugin to test I used my gmail account to test with and it works. When I used my domain email it didn’t work. I then checked all of my accounts webmail status i couldn’t send out email and had a ton of failed delivery notices and queued notices.

Anyone else having contact form 7 problems, would you happen to be using site 5 as well? Sadly the support is awful ever since they updated platforms and it’s been 3 days with no resolution since i opened a ticket.

Well I’ve found on 2 different web hosts now so I’ve gone through a few things.

-checked multiple sites using contact form 7 and wp forms
-no sites are sending emails
-but smtp plugin diagnostics is successful
-research is showing that this has been an ongoing issue for a long time with wp

Today hopefully i’ll test 2 additional plugins to have the mail handled differently, but i’m still looking for a solution to fix WordPress and not have to go through insane amount of plugins and configs to get a simple feature to work. This is a major design flaw on wordpress’s fault. Even themes that had forms built in aren’t working.

I’ll really have to step up my developer and coding skills. I may start moving away from wordpress as i’m finding way too many flaws.

This issue appeared to be copying and pasting. If I manually typed everything it works. Very odd.

Sorry, I resolved this on my own. In the form itself I didn’t realize at the bottom was the fields to display what file types are supported and I resolved this on my own.

Excel is supported and I was able to change what shows up on the form for visitors.

Momshof, what plugin did you switch to. I also can’t get the attachments to work and help is minimal on this support forum. I’d like to go with another solution.

Brian thank you so much for all of your help! I’m going to leave this open for just a day or two, once I get all the stats entered I’ll mark this as resolved.

I now have data auto populating. I greatly appreciate your patience and knowledge. You have earned a paid customer.

@brian I have gone back and entered data into that field as shown here. And if you go to my site you’ll see still nothing appears.

I’m going to go back to the test site and delete everything and start over and see if I did something along the way that broke something.

Also I’m using SportClub theme which has it’s own Event feature. it also uses the url /event/

I’m wondering if this is why I can’t view the events page. I have done everything I’ve seen in these forums and still can’t get the even page to display. Still get the 404 error.

Brian please explain this as it makes no sense and I need to get this working.

You say stats pull from the event BUT only if left blank. “well if you leave event stats blank – where do you put in the goals, assists and game info?

You can reveal the automatic stats by editing the team and deleting any stat I entere – I didn’t enter stats under the team. I did it in the event player list.

Teams definitely in same season and competition because I’ve only created one at this point so I know that’s good.

I tried the permalinks before because I saw that when searching. However, we just moved the site to the live host so I will try that again. I just didn’t think I’d have to do that again.

So regarding stats now I’m confused. I did go to the event directly and enter the stats. If that’s not where I do it, what is the correct process, did I miss that in documentation somehwere?

When the event is live, where should I be enter stats, for ex. Games Played should register 1, then for ice hockey, goals, assists and so on. I don’t see anywhere else that would make sense to enter this stuff.
