In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Google ranking drop after change of focus keywordNo, I didn’t update any settings. I updated the keyword(s) for the post that, after that, suddenly dropped in ranking.

In reply to: [Instagram for WordPress] Slideshow not slidingUpdate:
I almost couldn’t believe this problem would have anything to do with the re-installation of widgets. I must have overlooked the fact that de slideshow wasn’t working correctly before. So I tried to downgrade the plug-in to an older version. 2.1.2 still gives only one image, but when I reverted it to 2.1.1, the slideshow cycles again! So it’s something with the plug-in’s update which causes the slideshow to stop working. Hopefully that will be solved in the next version!

In reply to: YouTube auto-embed failsThanks again for your reply! Well, I made a fresh try this morning with inserting a few video links to a post and got surprised to see it’s working again. The video I initially wanted to insert is still doing nothing (maybe some restrictions?), but other video links convert to a video right away.
I did try to insert other videos yesterday, just to close out things, but I guess it’s been some kind of a server hick-up. So everything is back to normal again, except for the fact that my Instagram widget stopped doing it’s slideshow, but that’s something for another topic. ??
Nice you understand some Dutch. Heel leuk!
Thanks for your kind help again!

In reply to: YouTube auto-embed failsWell, the issue still occurs when I have disabled all plug-ins AND switched to the default theme at the same time. So that can not be the case. ?? I have been using Jetpack all the time. ?? Thanks for the compliment!
When I try to add the video within an iframe, it does work. But I always have been using the pasted-link-turns-into-video option and it frustrates me that it’s not working for YT videos now. Plus it’s more time expensive.

In reply to: YouTube auto-embed failsAdded a test post where I tried to add a YouTube link. The normal way I used to do it (just paste a link) and underneath one with embed code. As you see, the normal link stays as plain text, the one with embed shortcode displays as a usual href link.

In reply to: YouTube auto-embed failsI was thining about a hosting issue as well. Will contact them tomorrow anyway. I always use the same way for inserting YouTube video’s.
Just pasting the YouTube video link in the post, no iframe or embed or other shortcodes as well. I just love the way WP makes it simple to insert video’s without having to add any code.
The video’s in the older post have been inserted in exactly the same way as I try to insert one now.
About the videos displaying in the backend. It’s always been this way. I do not use any plug-in which causes this. Even with all plug-ins disabled, I still can see video’s in the way that shows in the screenshot.
By the way, my site URL is https://estrellaweb.nl.
The ‘older’ posts with YouTube video’s working normal in it, is this one: https://estrellaweb.nl/2015/09/momentopname-092015/. The post which I am editing is planned for tomorrow, so not visible yet for the public. ??

In reply to: YouTube auto-embed failsTried the auto-embed feature for an Instagram photo and Vine video as well. Converts immediately to respectively a photo and video. So the issue seems to be with YouTube videos.
In that case, I find it strange that older posts with videos inserted in the same way, still do display. If there would be any kind of connection trouble, those other video’s wouldn’t display as well.
Any suggestions?

In reply to: YouTube auto-embed failsSmall update: Just tried a Vimeo link, which converts to video right away. This is getting stranger and stranger… The functionality seems to work, but is kind of selective…

In reply to: YouTube auto-embed failsWell, normally my videos do appear back-end. See the screenshot. This ia a post from september 18th.
When I try to switch theme, there’s no difference at all.

In reply to: YouTube auto-embed failsYep, tried that. It gives me just a plain text link. Forgot to mention that de video isn’t displaying back-end and front-end. When I try the embed code which gives an error in the admin, it displays as a link on the site itself.

In reply to: Search doesn't find everythingFound out something new? It seems that newly added images to blogpost aren’t searchable. For example: I replaced one of the images in a blogpost from 2011. The old one is still searchable and the new one is not to be found, while it IS in the blogpost with the exact title I’m looking for. Even in newer blogposts most of the images are not found while searching for exact titles using the default WP search function.

In reply to: Search doesn't find everythingI also could search classes first, for example posts which had something like class=iframe in them. That doesn’t work anymore either. It seems like the backend search (search in posts) does find more, but it doesn’t work like it did before.
When I rolled back to the ‘complete’ 2.0.66.17 version, the permalinks worked fine again, BUT I got a MVC template error on the gallery itself, which didn’t work. That’s why I only transferred the routing file and not the whole older version.
I first tried to edit my ngg_options in the database to an older version of that antry and that resulted in getting stuck at the homepage. Each version seems to have a slightly different content of ngg_options (under wp_options).
