Hi Bet,
I was talking about this and this.
By modifications I meant that I implement almost all of the sites’ functionality (user management, CPT and taxonomies, etc.) via a plugin I’ve created. This plugin is being modified all the time, especially in the test site. Besides, I need the shared user pool so going multi-something is really seem like the better idea for this.
What do you think?
Yeah I see what you mean. I indeed described the scheme pretty awfully, my bad ??
The environment in which I develop these sites changes a lot so I still want to deal with one platform to which I will apply the constant modifications.
I guess putting my question more accurately would be asking whether three subsites under a multisite environment are less independent than three main sites under multi-network environment or not.
I hope I got it right this time ??

In reply to: WP Toolbar not showing up for Subscribers.I would guess this is something caused by theme or plugin.
What theme are you using and more important – which user management plugins (if any)?
I meant for something a little bit different. I will try to explain it in a different approach:
1. WordPress as multisite:
Network Dashboard (site 0)
Main site (site 1)
Subsite (site 2) (in use)
Subsite (site 3) (in use)
Subsite (site 4) (in use)2. WordPress as multi-network:
Network Dashboard (site 0)
Network (site 1) (in use)
Network (site 2) (in use)
Network (site 3) (in use)Question: Is it right to think situation 2 is better for having three independent sites running the same plugins and content structure?

In reply to: [WordPress MU Domain Mapping] Unable to logout users through sub sites onlyYes to both. Did it just now after reading your message. It did not solve the issue.
If it is that of a dead end I guess I will just reinstall WP as with other similar installation I haven’t encounter the issue.
It could have been nice knowing what exactly happened but I get from you the notion that this issue can not be linked to anything so..

In reply to: [WordPress MU Domain Mapping] Unable to logout users through sub sites onlyNo, I don’t.
Can access to the website help you help me?

In reply to: [WordPress MU Domain Mapping] Unable to logout users through sub sites onlyIt doesn’t show any error message. When logging out from a mapped domain site, it takes me to the login screen of WP and shows the “You are now logged out” green message, only that the user is still connected. If I press the “Back to SiteName” link, or enter the site again, I can freely navigate the dashboard and the admin bar shown the user is still connected.
I remember Network Deactivating the WordPress MU Domain Mapping and then activating it on a specific subsite, then deactivated it and Network Activating it again. I think that had something to do with it, otherwise I can’t recall any changes that might have triggered this.
Rings any bell?

In reply to: [WordPress MU Domain Mapping] Unable to logout users through sub sites onlyYes, both front and back ends of subsites are using the mapped domains. On sites not using the mapped domain, logout works fine.

In reply to: [WordPress MU Domain Mapping] Unable to logout users through sub sites onlyTrying to log out of the mapped domain of a sub site.
Any kind of log out attempt from an unmapped domain is working fine.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WordPress MU Domain Mapping] Unable to logout users through sub sites onlyYour plugin. The “WordPress MU Domain Mapping”. Sorry if I wrote it differently, tried to shorten it.
Make a backup, of course. But regardless, take into account you won’t get any support if something happens or you have a question.
