Okay I changed back to default permalinks.

Also I just deactivated 2 plugins – Headspace and Google XML Sitemaps – since they’re the only semi-recent ones I’ve added, but that didn’t help.

The links in the header are deliberate, my code is just sloppy.

I’m not sure what you mean about resorting to page-ids, are you talking about permalink structure?

I’d be interested in knowing how you solved this! I have the same problem and no luck so far.

Thanks for looking at my site..! Yeah if you click on Contacts it should show my email address, if you click on “Get Your Own Poodle Ad” it should show instructions etc. (those are the only page links I have on the homepage)

But it’s showing index.html for all pages.

Posts are ok though (except for the display issue chartinael mentioned). I’ve tried uploading changes to pages, they save correctly in the editor but Preview or View Page still shows index.html.

Hi, thanks for the response! Well I do have a backup, but all my files/data are still in the original database and I can access them via ftp. Should I still replace it with the backup?

Also I’ve checked permissions and htaccess and can’t find any problems.. all of it matches my site that IS working.

If you have this weird bug and really need to upload images, do what I’ve been doing.. Upload the image manually within your FTP client, then go into WordPress and create a good ol’ fashioned image link in HTML Mode. Kind of a hassle, but it’s a pretty easy work-around until this issue is sorted out.

I’m having exactly the same problem! The “Upload” portion of the Write screen has disappeared, and there’s a 404 page in the preview section. I don’t think it’s related to the 2.2 upgrade (at least in my case) because only one of my blogs has this issue, and the problem began before I upgraded. I tried disabling most of my plugins for kicks, but no luck.

In case it matters, my wp-admin directory has upload.php, upload-functions.php, upload.css, upload-rtl.css, and upload.js.

Any thoughts? I appreciate the help!

I have this problem too! Instead of /p I get /br and my paragraphs run together, until I go in and manually edit. Sometimes it still doesn’t work after I save, it just reverts.

Thanks elohin. I’ve tried that twice but it didn’t work. Then I tried switching themes (from Hemingway Bright), and everything worked fine. Maybe certain themes have issues with Dreamhost? I don’t know. =)

Running WP2 on Dreamhost, but can’t access my stats (https://www.crimgirl.com/stats/). I just read this thread and I can’t figure out if someone found a fix or not? I tried a couple of the suggestions and get nowhere. Any other ideas?

Since it’s doubtful Justin will ever post the themes people entered in the competition, it would be cool if someone else would collect and post them. Okay, I’m just selfish, I just want to see all the new themes! =)
