In reply to: Another slight problem after upgradeThanks TritonB7,
I may try that, however, my permalink structure doesn’t contain index.php and that fix is specifically for permalinks that do!
Will it still work in my case?

In reply to: Another slight problem after upgradeI just want to add another thing. Any more and I’ll start a new topic!
After the upgrade…
1. Home page title bar shows as one of the categories.
2. All of the images in the Gallery bring up ‘Nothing found’ in title bar.
3. Can’t wrap thumbnail images in post using WP default image uploader.My permalink setting is /%category%/%postname%/
That just about does it. Like I said, the upgrade worked fine on my other sites.
Thanks!

In reply to: Integration with zenphoto results in “silent” 404 errorsJetoile,
I have the same problem. Before I upgraded to 2.6 today, I noticed in Google Webmaster that all of my Gallery pages were being listed as 404’s.
After I upgraded it got worse – now every image page show a ‘Nothing found’ message in the header tag.
I’ve asked about it in the Zenphoto forum and will post here if I get a response. I hammered the forums a little while ago about none of my 1000 + images being indexed by Google (which I see as a related problem) but nothing came out of it.

In reply to: Another slight problem after upgradeI’m trying out a few things and when I switched back to the default permalinks (using permalinks migration) the ‘nothing found for’ problem in the gallery normalized. However, I got so many 404 errors in the rest of my site that I had to switch back.

In reply to: Another slight problem after upgradeI just noticed two other (related?) issues.
1. Statpress is outputting something like this for all of my urls…
‘utmwv=4.3&utmn=2133026658&utmhn=phauxshow.com&utmcs=utf-8&utmsr=800×600&utmsc=32-bit&utmul=en-us&utmje=1&utmfl=9.0%20r45&utmdt=Phauxshow%20%7C%20About&utmhid=2057119235&utmr=0&utmp=/about/’
2. In my Gallery, on the main image pages I have thumbnails for navigation. Everything is working fine but I get a nothing found message for each page…

In reply to: Some size issuesHmmm,
I made the body slightly 10px smaller and padded both sides 5px. That should prevent the text from running right up to the sides. I’d still like a a bit of a margin around the whole thing though.
And for the life of me, I can’t figure out how to get the date to stay put. What’s even stranger is that it jumps back and forth when I refresh the browser!

In reply to: WordPress as a Newspaper CMSd_kc,
I’m not sure that the issue is with the fonts. That is probably the case that the font settings are different on each installation of your browsers. You could easily rule that out by changing the font size under appearance in the Safari settings.
There are people on here who are infinitely more qualified than I am but I would start by looking at your body width.
‘body {
background: #DDDDDD;
width: 985px;
color: #000000;
font-size: 12px;
font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Verdana;
margin: 0px auto 0px;
padding: 0px;
}
#wrap {
background: #FFFFFF;
width: 945px;
margin: 10px auto 10px;
padding: 0px 5px 20px 5px;
border: 10px solid #f6f6f6;
}’
For example your wrap is smaller than your body. Try increasing the size of your wrap. Alternatively, you could try decreasing the size of your 3rd column a bit.
Good luck!

Have you tested your site on Safari and Firefox? The 3rd column drops below the second. Try either making it narrower or increasing the width of the body.

In reply to: Examples of WP that don’t look like blogs?Thanks Joni!
I spend so much time staring at my computer that I often look past the most obvious little mistakes.
Regarding the design – I really had to use restraint. In the end I felt as though less on my end would mean more on the artists end. As I use their images for all of my content ‘buttons’ on the front page the look of the site is always changing. Also, the Gallery thumbs are set to random which offers the same effect.
I still have a lot planned for it.
Thanks again!

In reply to: Examples of WP that don’t look like blogs?I’d like to weigh in on this. My site is pure Mimbo flavored WordPress with a touch of Zenphoto… and not at all ‘blog-like’

In reply to: site review pleaseHey Lee,
Sorry about the late reply! Regarding zenphoto – you don’t need to integrate the databases at all. All you need a link to it from your main site. I created a page for myself and linked to it that way…
If you tell me where the zenphoto folder is in your directory and what it is called I’ll tell you what to do. You can email me if you like.
If you put the zenphoto folder inside your wordpress folder you might want to try creating a page on your site with the title of your wordpress folder.
Okay, never mind I found it. Just create a page called ‘zenphoto’. If it doesn’t work you will most likely have to change your permalinks structure. Try it first and let me know.
