Finally got back to this. I had to roll back to WP 4.1 (a theme issue), uninstalled all plugins, re-installed a few at a time. Seems to have solved it for now. We’ll be moving to a new theme in a few months.

I recommend using a child theme and adding this to style.css:

.theme-name {display:none;}
.theme-author {display:none;}

That’s an easy way to remove it.

Sorry, I haven’t been able to test it out yet. It’s for a side project that I don’t spend a lot of time on, but I’ll try it within the next day or so.

Plus I plan on installing it on other sites. I probably have close to a 100 sites currently on a few different servers (all apache though).

I’m using the Advanced Custom Fields plugin for most of the custom fields and calling them through the GF custom post field in the form, if that makes sense.

I’m building custom templates for almost everything and it’s easier to build them with ACF.

Sometime today (PST) I’ll try updating again. It very well could be a conflict with another plugin.

The custom post type was created through the Custom Post Type UI plugin.

The post is being created through the title field of a GF Multipage form.

I upgraded from 1.22 to 1.23

I did have the GF Registration add-on installed at one point, which I believe conflicts with AFUploader.

In the meantime, I reinstalled a backup from a few days ago and everything is working again.

I have a similar issue. The post publishes, but custom fields don’t display unless I save in Admin.
